Greetings from British Columbia ~ first timer here!

Post by doodles » Mon Mar 16, 2009 10:03 am

Heyo! My name is Pam and my hubby Chad and I are making the trek down to BM FINALLY! We've wanted to experience it for a long time and have decided this is our year! We will be flying into Reno and are planning on renting a car....we would like to share in the cost of rental/fuel with some other burners. Anyone interested? Can't wait to see all of your wonderful smiles on the playa. Peace and Love. :D

P.S. Is there a Canadian Theme Camp that we could join as well and spread our polite cheer!

Please and Thanks!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Thanks for the welcome! Getting excited with each passing day! Does anyone know where I could buy a used bike in Reno for burning man?

Doodles, welcome to eplaya. looks like you got a nice summer planned eh?! Maybe you can start a thread to focus on looking for peeps to share rental with. But I would wonder how well the whole process would work. Who signs for the car? What if somebody reneges on cleaning their part, or not doing a good job? Different flight times may cause issues, as well as what if somebody had to bale from the burn? Also, gas there and back shouldn't break you. I mean if you can afford the tixs, ya know? As far as a bike, you can buy a cheap one at wally world for 75-ish $, and then donate it when you leave.

Snoop around here, lots of sage advice. Also check out Tribe if you haven't already, they have BM bike tribes. Heres the link...

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.
