For me..... a woman's essence drives me mad with desire. It keeps me peeked in passion and desire for hours after she has left.

Last week on Oprah, her show was all about romance, love, chemistry, what attracts us to each other. I listened intently. It was all very interesting. Our brains are our biggest sex organs. Chemistry in the brain and pheromones play a huge part. When a woman is menstruating or PMS-ing, a man is more likely to be interested or attracted to her. Why? Biologically it signals to the man, "Hey, baby, I'm fertile and I am sooooo ready to have your nice manhood prodding at my cervix." All these chemicals are going on in her body like estrogen, progeterone and one other (oops, I get a point deducted for not remembering)...and it causes the man's testosterone levels to peak (or is that pique?), biologically signaling the man to feel, "Whoa, baby, I wanna tie you down and fuck you silly!"

The one part I missed, however, was the part about what scientifically happens when a woman goes through menopause ~ something THANK GOD I am finally done with. As a woman gets older her estrogen levels go down, causing pheromone levels to decline. Now, if their science speaks correctly, it would seem an older woman wouldn't be as attracted by a man because she is producing less estrgen and pheromones, causing his chemicals to not respond so quickly to her, WHICH I can tell you right now is just not true. I, along with a whole other group of menopausal and post-menopausal women can tell ya right here and now that we have no problems being attracted and turned on by men. I personally think one's sex drive, passion, whatever, gets better with each decade. All this was on the Discovery Channel too. :P

**finishes shuffling cards, smiles, takes a sip of the malibu, draws out 1st card in the Celtic Shield Knot Spread, takes another sip of rum**

1st card represents the person I am thinking of who has recently come into my life. It's the Taliesin. It's keywords are: Trust, Romance, Originality. Taliesin, a poet, the greatest and most skilled of all Celtic bards, represents romance and chivalry. Through a magical sequence of events he was born of Cerridwen (The Crone, keeper of the Cauldron of the Otherworld), who would have killed him but for his beauty, which softened her heart. In this spread he symbolizes a trustworthy friend, lover, or soul mate, a strong but gentle person on whom I can safely rely and who will always respect my wishes. He teaches compassion and consideration to others. It says to treasure him, but never think that I own him or it will drive him away. This card also indicates a need to explore my own creativity. whoa...

**takes a sip of rum, gets goosebumps, eats a marachino cherry, ties the stem in a knot with her tongue, places it on the Taliesin card, continues with the next card**

*perks head up to hear a riff of some music and grins*

2nd card is the Crow and it represents this person's state of health. Keywords: A New Start, Clearing The Ground. Crows are The Morrigans birds, intelligent, alert and indifferent to suffering. They clear the ground of the debris of death and destruction, leaving it fallow and fertilized for new growth. It says that it is time for a new start, and to take time to examine your life, clear the ground, and get rid of what's not needed -- preferably by recycling or giving away any possession that you no longer require. Like the crow, waste nothing, but be ruthless if that is what is required. Discard any old habits or ideas -- even people, if you must -- that are holding you back. Decide to be more discriminating in the future, and a little more careful with how you spend your time.

Interesting...

*places the 3rd card down in position*

3rd card drawn is the Snake, and represents my new friend's emotional state. Keywords: Hidden Knowledge, Transformation. The mysterious Snake represents occult power, change and rebirth. Supple and sinuous, it was thought to possess the wisdom of the Underworld. The Snake takes precedence over all other cards except The Solar Wheel and The Land. It symbolizes transformation and indicates that my life is in the process of changing -- whether I want to realize it or not. This change is fundamental, satisfying, and profoundly significant. This might be havng a child  , or moving abroad, perhaps dedicating my life to others, whatever... once the change is made there is no going back, so I need to make sure that I am prepared.

4th card drawn is The Hill and represents how this person feels about me. Keywords: Perspective, Seeing The Whole. Druid knowledge and foresight resolved most differences without the need for combat, but on those rare occurances when wisdom did not prevail, the Druids would step into the background and view the course of the battle from a nearby Hill. At the end of the battle they would treat the wounded. According to the spread, it says it is essential that you find a position where you can gain an overview of the situation. Set yourself apart from everyone and everything to consider where you are in life and where you want to be, then make your plans for the future accordingly. Others may object, so you must decide whether to pay attention to them or put your own desires first.

The 5th and final card is The Swan and it represents the immediate future. Keywords: Grace Under Pressure, Serenity. The Swan symbolizes the Soul, that part in each of us that remains pure, beautiful and radiant no matter what we look like or what happens on the outside. In this spread, the Swan reminds you to look beyond the surface of any situation to what lies beneath in order to understand the truth of the matter. Don't be decieved by first impressions. This creature may be the embodiment of serene grace and beauty, yet never forget that beneath the water the Swan must work hard like any other water bird. It is grounded in reality -- despite its heavenly appearance.

I think I might need another Malibu -- TO GO, PLEASE -- and contemplate what the fuck this means.

does the pogo dance

The pogo is a dance where the dancers jump up and down, while remaining in the same location; the dance takes its name from its resemblance to the use of a pogo stick, especially in a common version of the dance, where an individual keeps their torso stiff, their arms rigid, and their legs close together.
