Looking for burners in Indiana! New (I knows) 22 f student

Post by Tayamat » Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:51 am

Hey so I am a virgin to the whole thing (yes yes Newb indeed) and I want to go to burning man this year, or if not, next year. I'm a 22 f student majoring in art. If anyone else lives in Indiana let me know! (Or even Chicago) :D :D

welcome to eplaya! read the survival guide and check out other stuff on the main burning man site. Check out the links to regionals groups in your area where you may be able to meet other burners.

Here's a link to a thread about the Greak Lakes event coming up in summer:

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

All I can say is put ticket in one hand and a wish in the other and see which one gets you to BM.

Yes I saw that and am not intimidated by alpha stances!!! :beats chest!:

I'll do as much research as I can about burning man, and even lakes of fire to see what's up. This seems like such an awesome and open minded community.

dear Indianianionian, i am afraid that since your home state ranked 48th on the state by state hip factor analysis study, there are actually no other burners in your state.

the Arsonists in Gary dont count.

try to hook up with some illinoisianites or ohioers.

There is a camp full of THE BEST burners - they are the "Indiana Kids" at Camp Impending Doom. Google it for their web site - I LOVE these people!

What, they don't sell hot wings in Indiana?!? (You can even find Anchor Bar brand at some stores...but it's like reheating frozen White Castle sliders.)

What S O' The P is overlooking is that Hip Factor is often a Warning Sign of Shallow, Uninspired Pursuits...Tayamat, you are within reach of a thriving, GROWING and VERY creative Burner Community...there are even Burners HERE in..... *GASP!*....Michigan. Be sure to investigate Lakes Of Fire, our inaugural MegaMidWest Community event, and meet some of your neighbors!
Hmmm...you've been a LoF member without knowing it...Buffalo's in our Extended Family!
