Okay, I keep telling myself to bring a neti pot to the Burn, and keep forgetting (for the uninformed, neti pots are used to pour lukewarm saline water through the one nostril and out the other). I've had absolutely fantastic results from using one, but I'm not sure whether it would be such a good idea to dislodge those hard little dust cakes that form and force them through my sinuses.
Anyone have any experiences with neti pots at Burning Man? Yay? Nay?

I used a sinus rinse, rather than neti pot. Difference: neti pot relies on gravity only. Sinus rinse allows you to adjust pressure.
It was AMAZING! I can't imagine not having one. Pushing those hard boogers through nasal cavity didn't present any problems. Moisturizing nasal cavity, and especially sinuses felt absolutely wonderful. I did it a few times a day.

I agree.. as long as you don't flick onto those that don't want to be flicked on who cares.ygmir wrote:nose picking has a zen quality...........
I use the saline squeeze bottles and the occasional babywipe chunk up the nose. I think the Neti pot is a lil overboard but if you have the room (rv/bus/van/truck) or really need it than bring it. But as mentioned those squeeze bottles are a little easier to deal with and you can control some added pressure.
