Links- How to's- Good Info

Post by Chai Guy » Mon Apr 12, 2004 7:54 pm

I've been around Burning Man for a while now and I've realized that while there is a lot of good "how to" info on all things related to the event (from building your own dome to EL wire to whatever), it's scattered across the internet and not always easy to find.

So my idea is to create a website, one that will really focus on the
"How-to" aspects of all things related to the event.

The site will include a list of categories or folders (i.e. Structures, Food, Showers, etc.) then those folders will include various pages of information related to the main folder.

There will be a broad links page, but each subject page will also have a list of links related to that subject. The links will all be very specific and edited for quality (rather than just a huge list of links that may have very little to do with what you are looking for).

So what I need are your links, your ideas, articles or self written How-to's that relate to Burning Man. Maybe you came up with a great shade structure, or devised the perfect playa receipe, or maybe you already have a great how-to website and just wish to post your link.

Also if you want to help with setting the site up, or helping with lay out and such let me know.

Oh and please don't PM me on this subject, instead send your info to :
[email protected]

Thanks- Chai Guy

Bob's got a good start on pulling structures information together. The link to his site is in his profile:

not quite the haven of data i'd hoped it would be, but there's some good stuff there, with a little digging:

Very nice Trey, simple but chock full of good info.

My goal is to link all these sites (along with good original content as well) in an easy to use, easy to search starting point.

Thanks again!
