Hey ya'll S.F'ers
Burner Baby is turning 16 !!!
And has decided she would like to take 3 friends for a weekend in San Fransisco.
I wanted to know if anyone knows of a flat for rent for July 10,11 and 12.
Arrive in SF around 7-9pm on 10th check out morning of 12th.
Which would be easier on my pocketbook then though over priced hotels.
I'd love to get us near to Japan/China/towns... or Height/ashbury....or the warf...or somekind of tourista' attractions that would be fun for teeny gals.
It would be Titwi, myself(Piney), Burnerbaby and 3 gals (all 16) and possibly my other daughter 22 and her best bud also 22..
Ya... you think that many Gals' would drive Titwi crazy! But he's cool like that!
We could even bring air mattresses for the kiddo's.
I went on CL and I do see flats for rent, but I always wonder about those and if they are on the up and up?!?!
I would love to try and keep the weekend sleeping arrangements costs down...as I guess trying to feed a army of girls is gonna kick my financial ass!
Just checking...
Do you ever hear that..."well if I had known you were coming to town I have a friend that......Blah blah blah"
So here goes.
Would like to have a flat that has at least 1 bedroom, (so doesnt have to be big!)
A livingroom with a futon or hide abed....
enough floor space to plop a couple air mattresses on(can be side by side) and a Kitchenette would be cool,a full kitchen would be superb!! (save $$ on foods)
And a place to park 1-2 cars(don't care if there is a reasonable charge for that(its expected).
We will most definitely not be making huge noise as we plan on wearing the girls out every day.
But they do giggle alot!
I have made sure that the girls on the guest list are the ones I appreciate, they are extremely respectful.
(yes...two got knocked off the guest list as I said I will not entertain that person for 2 days on my watch!)
Please PM me with any Idea's or Suggestions...
All idea's are very welcome!!!

Names pinemom, but my friends call me "Piney".
no, I really hadn't...because that's gonna be 7 peeps.
That is way to many people to ask such a huge request.
Not to mention the coming and going...possible napping at weird times.
Fixing food..etc...
That's an intrusion to someones day to day life.
too big a request I would think.
Not to mention...Imagine that persons bathroom counter....6 women and THEIR MAKEUP!!!!!!!!!!!! for 2 solid days!
We are talking about 16 yr olds.
Their good kids...but man, I plan on waking them up first, go back to bed w/ coffee for at least 2 hours worth of..."I cant find my mascara!"
ROFLMAO

hahaa...
there really is a reason they call me pine MOM...
You missed the part on the daughter that is 22...been here done that.
Part of it is raising them right the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never took them to a Fanzy restaurant till I knew they knew their manners and utilized them.
then by age 7 I could depend on Great behavior in such a establishment.
And believe me, yes some 7 yr olds know the difference between a salad fork and a entree fork, to immediately put thy napkin on thy lap. To not put elbows on the table, chew with your mouth shut, to always say please and thank you, and above all never interrupt. Sit straight in your chair.
Later in life, Burner baby is actually quite knowledgeable to a point of knowing which wines to pair with what foods.
I think being raised by a mom who has always worked in 4-5 star restaurants has helped that along.
It seemed that my children have always been very very respectful to others.
I've (blushing) been complimented on my childrens behaviors in even the most elite situations.
Ditto for my mother...she too raised me with grace and class...
Thnx MOM
thnx for the compliment Ygmir.

congratulations for raising well-mannered kids, pm ... it seems that too many parents don't bother anymore, and manners can be so important.
i don't know if this would work for you ... but BART station parking is free from about 3:00 friday through sunday ... i usually check into a hotel, dump off my stuff, and head to the station in daly city. takes about an hour, or more if you just miss a train, and costs around $4 each way ... but it's definitely cheaper and easier than keeping a car in the city.
