Lifelong Northern Cali Native 1ST TIME SOLO Burner

Post by way2thowed » Wed Apr 29, 2009 9:36 pm

This will be my first year I wanted to go last year but respected the fact that maybe I hadn't read into it enough or wasn't really dedicated but now I am and have planned out the time ahead and im super excited. I don't have any friends that want to dedicate the time money and spiritual investment involved so as of now I am going solo. Not exactly sure yet was hoping maybe somebody could help with info let me know of some good ideas thanks and jah bless ~matt

Walruses have been sighted on the playa, so you might want to bring a hack saw for de-tusking. It could be a profitable venture, and you could witness the fascinating ritual of cross species mating, an intricate display that requires four days of VERY competitive croquet matches...the Discovery Channel tried to get permission for a themed documentary during the infamous Year of the Polar Bear, but the organization wouldn't grant them rights due to previous issues between Larry Harvey and a sexy koala intern.

Hope that helped.

always nice to meet local butte county residents lol. thank u all for the inspiration. i need some advice about how people go about getting to burning man by themselves as i can imagine having a bunch of stuff makes it difficult to just hitch a ride. also should i just set up my own little mini camp and expect to spend most of my time elsewhere what are the necessities for my camp if im gonna be solo?

thanks and jah bless ~matt

maybe you could hook up with Ras-Trent.....another white rastafarian, but he's got a saab, and a trust fund.

irie mon.

when will they just admit they are potheads instead of wrapping it up in some other cultures spirituality?

it's like me claiming to be a "slumdog" because i like indian food.

well im not sure if that was an honest statement or a bad judgement but i never claimed to be a rastafarian nor did i expect to be judged in of all places this one. and not that its really any of your business but im a medical patient in CA with a cannabis recomendation from a doctor and have been for many years. jah bless literally translates directly to god bless which is something over half of our worlds population says to each other during any normal conversation... but thanks I was wondering if everybody here was so nice or just the majority

i'm one of the worst.

here that is....on the playa you get a wide range of over the top in your face would make a longshoreman blush kind of banter...or on the other end, mindless zombie give you a back rub waiting for the aliens blue-green algae shakra om might be more your style....it's all there to participate in, or not.

the right to freedom of expression ends at the tip of my nose. be prepared for fuckos much more bizarre and possibly distasteful than i.

but remember, it's all in good fun, and it gives us a chance to release our inner asshole, and give ourselves a spiritual enema.

welcome home, your new playa name is BongMeistermeisteRbonG

Yeah, notice it's the girl tubbies that are dancing together. I'd say Dipsy is about to learn the oldest rule about girl on girl action. Real Lesbians don't want boy tubbies watching.

Real Lesbians don't want boy tubbies watching.
does this rule apply in reverse?

and which sub-genre of lesbian is a "real" lesbian? The man hating penis envy butt ugly man faced bull dyke or the recently divorced middle aged organic buddhist come lately in birkenstocks? Or maybe the Smokin' Hot Sorority Girl into a little experimentation, i think her name is brandy, or tiffany or something like that.
2 out of the 3 have teal pick-up trucks.
1 has a adopted korean daughter, "chloe" if it's west coast, "zoe" if it's east.
2 are bitter
1 is the only one i'd want to watch.
1 is almost completely, totally fictional.
1 has a preference for cargo shorts, almost exclusively.
2 are usually much poorer than their gay Cousins, the Infamous DINKS whose money is still pink, but hey, it's green and pink, like madras, and there tends to be more of it, go figure.

and yes, thats me shitting on the flowers, i'm allergic to bees.

Solo is ground zero for radical self reliance. Solo makes all options available. Solo is not lonely. If you have your own ride, pack how you want to, stop to pee when you want to, listen to the music you want to. It's a huge city; you don't have to worry about finding a place to camp.

I think it is all about timing. So much happens at Black Rock City right at the instant it is supposed to happen.

One day we pass some folks who, to make a long story short (we saw them a month later in Sacramento) we get a nice margaritra drink and as we walk away thinking doesn't pizza sound nice right now, someone yells out, pizza. Black Rock City, how life is supposed to work.

I like giving out popcycles, (or otter pops) cause I bring a freezer I can do that. Naturally the best time to gift something like that is when it is hot.

Oh yeah, sorry.

The week before Burning Man we will be throwing a party here. It will include an opportunity to explore a cave that is within bike riding distance. We plan on decorating and having music inside the cave.

So this is one party you want to bring a hard hat and flashlight.

(no charge, all free, we close the park to people and only let burners in. This is part of our gift to burners)

Ist thing: How to you intend to make them? Over a gas stove? Please read the bits about open flame.
2nd: Think about the health department. If you serve too many (and I have no idea how many is too many) you will need to get a permit. They will come out to the playa to see your set up. It will cost $50.

sumore smores

Post by way2thowed » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:00 pm

thanks 4 the good info and actually it was much more impromptu then that. more like walking around with a backpack full of all the necessary ingredients for smores and a bundle of sticks and whenever i see a group of people located around a fire of any sort i could offer the lot of them a stick and a mallow and we all know how it goes after that nothin but smiles :D
