Has RV living made Playa survival a moot point?
After years of struggling against the dust thousands of Burners have discovered the moble suburb unit a.k.a. the R.V. Yes you can take it all with you. You don't have to deal with your neighbors. You can have all the conviences of home except cable tv. Since we solved this problem once and for all and we can no longer freely burn stuff out in the middle of nowhere or drive our funny vehicles without lots of intervention faster than we can walk how about we move off this forsaken playa and go somewhere nicer or even more inhospitable where RV cannot venture.

It's been my experience that Burning Man is what you make it. Real simple. Wanna take your RV? Cool. Go for it. Lucky you! I love hanging out with my friends who bring their RVs. Taking a private crap and pee and blessed shower is such a sweet a bonus. Whee! Me? I went into Burning Man in 2003 and when I saw that dry playa I said to myself, "Think Survivor, Donita." (like the TV show. I love that show. I wanna be on that show.) You can go there with all the amenities, your showers, a comfy bed - and be totally comfy. You can also go there, plop your sleeping bag down on a flat surface and be comfy too. Well, I can. I don't need much.

No doubt about it. Burning Man has been going down hill since people started coming in RVs:
