Hello from Empire

Post by mykidsdaddy » Fri May 08, 2009 9:55 pm

Hi,
I just wanted to say hi, and I am looking forward to meeting many burners this year and for years to come.

I am a new resident of Empire. I call the Empire Store home! Our family has re-opened the store and are still cleaning up, fixing up and stocking up.

I really hope we will be ready for the this years Burning Man.

In any case...I figured it was time for me to stop just reading and maybe post occasionally!

Hello, and welcome to the eplaya! Glad to hear someone is taking care of the store. How's the playa looking?

I honestly have no idea! Work too much...play too little! I haven't been off the paved highway anywhere yet! My curiosity is gnawing at me but so is my wife!!! LOL!!! There is so much work to do here at the store. I'd love to take a day and go play on the playa. Someday soon...

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Glad to see you on the eplaya! And I hope the store works out great for you and your family! (But I also hope you get time to go exploring or maybe find your way up to Trego for a good soak in the hot springs!)

Thanks for the welcome folks! As far as finding time to play...I was outside working on the property at 6:30 this morning and I didn't get back into the house (and shower) until after 9:00PM. I am sunburned like no other. I was burning literally tons of scrap wood and brush, branches and logs. I had ALL the brush GONE...then I got out the chain saw and made a whole NEW mess to clean up! :?

Thats OK though...the improvements are worth every bit of the sunburn and sore muscles.

Someday I will get a chance though. I do want to go out on the Playa with someone who is familiar with the desert and all the do's and (more importantly) the don'ts!
