WTF??
I just came across an advertisement for a Public Relations firm with a strikingly familiar logo.

Reading their Bio's at least a few of them worked in San Fransisco in the past, and in the Art Community no less....safe bet they are at least aware of BM...then again, it is different enough to probably not be a copyright violation...besides, it's not our job to defend the BM logo...(is it?)

Yes its true.. Burningman is just a front for KOAs secret cabal trying to get ppl to use their campgrounds on the way to and from Burningman. Its a sort of subliminal programming goin on there. KOA was the only job Larry managed to hold for any length of time before BM so it was a big influence.SFbrothermichael wrote:Hauntingly familiar.

Familiarity breeds contempt?
The first symbol is clearly an H, with a ying/yang split with the contrasting dot placed above instead of in the symbol. The second symbol is clearly the outline of a tepee, and the coloration instantly identifiable by native americans: Red, yellow, black, and white paths.
Both symbols are clearly identifying universality of mankind. I propose that the Burningman symbol itself is the forgery, the camelion, the false attempting to justify itself by co-opting symbolism of other cultures.
Originality?
Bah , I say, bahhhhhh!
