Looking for someone to join me on my adventure

Post by Lisa_M_Davies » Thu Jun 04, 2009 2:55 am

Aloha, This summer I would like to go on an adventure. I cannot get any friends to join me from England to go out to the states/Canada earlier before the burn due to money, work commitments, post-burn travel plans, festivals in England, etc.

I was told very briefly about a party in the beautiful woods of Canada, not much more, just its a festival with beautiful music, beautiful people, beautiful surroundings - Called Shambhala.

So, I am looking for a lovely, fun and reliable person or persons that I could gratefully join who have the same plans already. To go to Shambhala festival somewhere in Canada, then to road trip down to Burning Man in the Nervada desert. It will have to be on a budget, and the main aim is to meet the most incredible folk, two weeks of randomness and parties and see some amazing places en-route with new friends.

I look forward to hearing and hopefully making some summer plans from you or maybe one of your friends who are planning a super awesome vacation.

I am an English girl who has not been on an adventure on her lonesome before. Please join me!

Love and peace,

Lisa

Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

Lisa, I'd imagine you are flying into NYC or DC. Let me know cause I am a traveler, and will ride with you if your end destination is the Playa in BRC. I have traveled all over the east coast and west coast and everywhere in between, but mostly by freight train, so a budget is understandable. If you would like someone along for the ride, I have supplies/money/travel smarts/etc. Let me know!

p.s. Take the "R" out of N-E-V-A-D-A. jus sayin'
"Coals under foot burst into flames
Become the earth's ashes
Remain
Awaiting sand
A burning man
Approach the door where I place blame
Take the first step
Cleansing my shame
Awaiting sand
A burning man"
