In his Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, Wittgenstein explains how the use
of the same word to mean two different things or, vice versa, the use of
two different words to mean the same thing, could easily give rise
to "...the most fundamental confusions (of which the whole of philosophy
is full)."

He goes on to state "...If I know the meaning of an English and a
synonymous German word, it is impossible for me not to know that they
are synonymous, it is impossible for me not to be able to translate them
into one another".

How then does one find the exact meaning of a word? He had already
answered that question: "...only in the context of a proposition has a
name meaning."

The use of technology has a great many effects; these may be separated
into intended effects and unintended effects. Unintended effects are
usually also unanticipated, and often unknown before the arrival of a new
technology.

In Religion, Sublimation is linked to the mystical experience. This is
achieved via meditation techniques. It is widely practiced in all religions
by the mystics of the ages, especially through the practice of asceticism.

Harry Stack Sullivan documents that all sublimatory things are more
complicated than the direct satisfaction of the needs to which they apply.
They entail no disturbance of consciousness, no stopping to think why
they must be done or what the expense connected with direct satisfaction
would be. In successful sublimation, Sullivan observes extraordinarily
efficient handling of a conflict between the need for a satisfaction and the
need for security without perturbation of awareness.

Mediumship; a practice in which a person claims to be an intermediary
In the colonial times of America persons could claim a piece of land for
themselves and the claim has different level of merit according to the de
facto conditions:

claim without any action on the ground
claim with (movable) property of the claimant on the ground
claim with the claimant visiting the land
claim with claimant living on the land.
Today, claiming land is no longer possible, yet parts plots of land with
little economical value (eg in Alaska, ...) can still be bought for very low
prices. Also, in certain parts of the world, land can still be obtained by
making productive use of it.
Ownership of extraterrestrial real estate is not recognised by any
authority. Nevertheless, some private individuals and organizations have
claimed ownership of celestial bodies, such as the Moon, and are actively
involved in "selling" parts of them through certificates of ownership
termed "Lunar deeds", "Martian deeds" or similar. These "deeds" are
viewed by many as having novelty value only.

The topic of real estate on celestial objects has been present since the
1890's. Coming in and out of public focus for several decades, major
notability was established for the idea in 1936. A. Dean Lindsay made
claims for all extraterrestrial objects on June 15, 1936 and sent a letter to
Pittsburgh Notary Public along with a deed and money for establishment
of the property. The public sent offers to buy objects from him as well.

In mathematics, a nonlinear system is a system which is not linear, that
is, a system which does not satisfy the superposition principle, or whose
output is not proportional to its input.

Some one said: Here is something I have forgotten.

The Master said: There is one thing in this world which must never be
forgotten. If you were to forget everything else, but did not forget that,
then there would be no cause to worry; whereas if you performed and
remembered and did not forget every single thing, but forget that one
thing, then you would have done nothing whatsoever. It is just as if a king
had sent you to the country to carry out a specified task. You go and
perform a hundred other tasks; but if you have not performed that
particular task on account of which you had gone to the country, it is as
though you have performed nothing at all. So man has come in this world
for a particular task, and that is his purpose; if he does not perform it,
then he will have done nothing.

Falsity is also a measure of the quality or extent of the falseness of something
