The Temple represents a destroyed ideal. The numerous purges represent repression. How can a culture and a religion concentrate it's focus on so much negativity and still hope to have some kind of positive outlook. The israelis live in an ugly garrison. Most israelis realize that ethnic cleansing is wrong. All israelis realize that the muslims will bury them in a few decades.
The stress of everyday living is making the world ugly. The israelis aren't likely to change their attitude about arabs. The arabs aren't likely to change their birth rate. The muslims aren't likely to change their beliefs in exclusion laid out in their holy book.
The usual, historical solution is annihilation.
The israelis and the larger jewish community would be well advised to pack up the entire stone base of the temple and relocate it to a place with water. They could move it to central Canada and rebuild it. It would be a positive focus for the whole body of judaism. Nobody in Canada will pick on them. If they put the damn purges behind them and rebuild the temple, it would go a long way towards giving judaism a positive outlook.
It would allow the jews to focus on spirituality rather than weeping while pounding their collective heads on some stupid wall.

That's certainly not very encouraging. What were those? A bunch of stupid jewish kids visiting from America? Certainly doesn't help their cause.

I think Obama should just stop sending any money to the Israel. Hell, if it wasn't for the U.S. there wouldn't be an Israel to begin with--what a mistake that seemed to have turned out to be.

I agree that the interviewers picked a sorry lot to ask opinions. I wouldn't have posted the link if I knew the content. You're right; Palestine is a mess. The arab league supports the arabs and the US supports the israelis. If the two groups had to make it on their own resources, the population would be much smaller. It's only the U.S. support that has allowed israel to be so belligerent
Maybe the earth will open up and swallow the . Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock. That might help

Yes they did pick the wrong crowd to interview, but it shows the ignorance of their education. Remember, their history books are full of lies when it comes to the history of Modern Israel as the Torah is full of rewrites of the truth of their ancient history.

don't get me totally anti-torah. There are many truths to it and an amazing historical records even if biased against the losers and written in mythological form. its just that we do need the religions that use the Torah as the basis of their faith to understand the faults of those that wrote it. Human faults. Only that way can human kind can move on if it ever can.

and by the way, all angels whether good or bad were derived from the statues of Niki of Samosthrace and those of Hermes- the winged messenger.
