Hello everybody!
couldn't find my old profile, so started a new one.
Burner for 5 years (non consecutive) and bought a
71 Tioga 24' RV with a friend in Reno last year... it was Heaven.
Flying back to Reno for the RV this year,
and am hoping for the following:
1. A fun chilled out theme camp.
(last year we were out at Get Lost by the Skateboard Ramp)
Who wouldn't mind a "sattelite" mini camp to join on...
2. hook-ups to a Whisper-watt style generator that powers your camp...
this is to run our led christmas lights at night, keep out veggies
fresh in the RV refrigerator. hopefully this generator is running
quite frequently, as it would be the shore power to the RV.
We are 3 fun fellas from Bellingham/Seattle area who run a
podcast/blog called "Destination Burning Man"
http://www.destinationburningman.com/
we are bringing a small dome and shade structure,
and with power provided be possibly rocking some afternoon
afro soul latin funk bootyshaking disco breaking mojito partys!!!
Last Year we contributed in to our neighbors camp fees
as well as extra hands for wind storm mayhem, and
recycling exodus in exchange for plugging in an extension cord.
we would be willing to entertain all counter-offers...
pitching in for Gas money on the generator, camp fees,
labor... extra fridge space... whatever gets us some much
needed light and power for the week.
Can't wait to hear back from anybody.
If you are a camp more on the outskirts,
that would be extra rad.
kisses,
Grapenuts
Need Playa Power...
oh yeah, I must add: YES I could find a small generator to use for the week, YES I could haul the gas to run it, BUT... it would be much louder and more annoying than a pre-existing whisperwatt, and with the minimal power draw that we are seeking, it would be way better for everybody and the environment (resources and noise) for us to find an outlet. Thanks for not jumping on my nuts.

You still have one sticking out.
You could buy your own guiet genny, and they have a little atomatic throttle control that saves gas and only gives you the power that you need on demand, and then se-sell it after the event or keep it for next year.
You can get a "quiet" eu knock off at harbor freight for $399, it is a 1000 watt.

We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.
