I'm looking for a ticket to Burning Man 09' but am a complete newbie aside from the stuff I've read on the website. Still feeling a little bit in the dark and how exactly I should be going about getting there. PLEASE! anyone with some tips, pointers/tickets for sale feel free to post.

Go on burningman.com home page and click the link to "Tickets"...you can still buy your ticket online. Depending on where you live (mostly California), there are also some walk-in facilities.

Read the Survival Guide multiple times...take it literally! Then show up. You may also link up with local regional groups in your home city.

If you're looking to rideshare, there is a Rideshare link in these forums...and post a Rideshare request in your local Craigslist.
