Wayne,
The gift you give is truly AWESOME and knowing of your actions gave me the confidence to take on giving the gift of mobility when a camp mate needed it.
Although the need for assistance may be virtually unlimited at the burn ones ability to provide for everyone is not unlimited. It is ok to have a limit to what you can do at the burn.
Maybe some of the burning man community can help Hot Wheelz Camp by bringing to burning man things that will lighten the load for you?
What kinds of gifts would help the many wheelz at hot wheels keep on turning?

The camp will now be called ( BLACK ROCK CITY DEPARTMENT OF MOBILITY ) copyright.
Now we can get back to work helping Burners who might have difficulty
traveling to the far reaches of Black Rock City.
*whew*!
Sincerely,
Wayne Merchant, your Camp coordinator and host of Mobility Services at Black Rock City.
Burning man use to be fun what happened ?
wow, gettin famous are ya. I think the frat boys that called themselves "BLACK ROCK CITY DEPARTMENT OF MOBILITY" (you know, the Westside Tonopa crew) only used that term when drunk and they don't come any more.

POWERCHAIR,
Unfortunately due to the SIZE of the shade structure your speaking of over at Mr. Fixits your borrowing,
We wont be able to help you.
We also run a LARGE theme camp. And our trailer is wayyyyyyyy full, and the wieght/length Mr. fixit explained will not fit into our other equipment.
Im so sorry.
Good luck on your new search for a larger vehicle for said shade structure.
I know that Miss Risky there, has only a small Toyota/and tiny camper.
Sending blessing of hard work and much success to you and yours.

Transport of stuff in Reno
Hey Wayne,
I will be coming from North Carolina pulling a 29 ft fifth wheel. If you can come up with a trailer to haul the stuff in Reno, I can pull it with my truck, if we can find a place to temporarily drop my camper. I'm also handy with tools if needed. Jhnt

I sent you a PM.
I cannot haul anything, but I will contact you to help out for a bit during the burn.
I fix W/C's and have decent electronic basic tools.
If all goes well, I will also have my own PMD that has a 12 HP engine, capable of towing several people in manual chairs...and or/driving them around in one of the vehicles you spoke of.

Gearing Up
Hey Wayne,
Thanks again for all of the work you're putting into this camp. I can't wait to be a part of BRC Mobility and the Burning Man experience.
I'm excited about capturing BM access and producing some interesting video that sheds light on disabled culture at the burn.
We will arrive at dawn on Sept. 1st. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. I will be bringing my handcycle as well.
See you soon and safe travels.

Breakdows really suck.
2700 miles SHOULD have gone without issue...but one little hydraulic line that is too special to buy at an auto parts store...can ruin your whole day.
Checking in from Wyoming now, expect to be in BRC sometime Sat night/Sun morning.

Just wanted to say thanks...
Great to be a small part of the Dept. Of Mobility...
BIG PROPS [/b]to Wayne and all his had work (on and off the playa)!
He deserves many Kudos...(and a bunch of volunteers)
It was a real treat to see the look in the eyes of the folks who we were able to reach out to and lend a hand (or foot) - good stuff....
Being of service is a gift to both giver and receiver...
