Howdeee folks!

Just returned from Lakes of Fire. WoW, what a fantastic regional event. About 600 people were there from all around the Great Lakes area - Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, New York and Ontario. Then there were some burners from Missouri and California who joined in the festivities. And some fantastic DJs who were on a North American tour from Poland provided some great spinning dance music.

The burn was spectacular - the effigy was a two masted brig representative of the wooden sailing ship era on the Great Lakes.

Had a great time, met lots of friends and made new ones. Got and gave lots of burner love. It was just what I needed!

How about my new favourite drink: Lemon Drop which Avi at the Parking Camp was serving up.

1.0 as much as you want Ice
2.0 oz Lemon juice
1.0 slice Lime
1.0 tbsp Sugar
2.0 oz Tequila

Rim the glass with sugar. Then put a dash of lemon juice on your hand followed by salt. Pour Patron Silver tequila into the glass along with a few drops of lemon and lime juice. Lick your hand and then take a drink of the smoothest tequila ever invented. Oh what a delightful drink!

And perfect for a hot day drink too! Maybe I'll make one for Risky and Pinemom since they're having hot days.
