Anyone going?

I got a first rd invite for a change and am thinkin of going. I have room for one to share gas and driving. I'll be bringin the small 4x4 with a full cap thats nice and watertight with full windows on sides for airflow. I'm only bring a few must haves and a camp stove, possibly my micro dome (24ft chute). I can pickup as far south as Miami and along the way on 95N or you could make your way to Ft Lauderhell and park your shit offstreet in front of my place during the trip to and fro. I'm close to the rail stations and airports fwiw. I'll likely stay over an extra day to volunteer or something.

Still going? I got a 3rd Tier ticket and as such it's kind of last minute and impromptu. This is my first burner-type event and I'm not really going with anyone, so despite all the reading I can do I'm sure I'm still quite lost. Would be nice to have someone to go with though. :P

Transformus is fun. A BEAUTIFUL property but....damn, the weather was miserable. Being on the backside( east side) of the Smokies it has one hell of a temperate climate. In fact, the rainfall puts it into the category of temperate rainforest so I hear.

Dress....light. Have a good tent and DO NOT sleep near the edge of the lake. If it rains at night you are fucked.

Oh, and slap a hippie for me and the Austin, Flipside folks.
Desert dogs drink deep.

Haha, I have family that lives in Asheville, so I'm pretty familiar with the climate.

I will certainly find a hippie or two to slap.

Watch out for chiggers too. I got bit up something fierce my first year.
I love the Deerfields property. The humidity can get pretty fucking miserable
but at least they have 2 wonderful lakes to swim in.

Chiggers do suck, and I was thinking it will certainly be nice to have some water to swim in when I get too hot. Difficult to find on the playa, I hear.

It should be easy to find a ride in Charlotte - did you come to the MnG a few weeks ago? Check out Tribe, or sign up for the Transformus yahoo list.

That's where all the hot action is.

The weather last year was perfect and gorgeous...

Alchemy's the bestest!

See y'all on the mountain!
