Mornin' ygmir;
Canada - or at least my part of it - is hot and muggy. But not as muggy as yesterday so i should be able to paint today.
I'm working on the fibreglas gel coat on my camper. It needs a touch-up where the playa and sun have affected the finish.
You're always up early! Yes, my sleep patterns aren't good - nightmares. But I'm not anxious to get hooked on sleeping tablets. I'm learning to live with it.
Have any plans for the day?

hot in Canada?
I've only been once, really.....
I drove from here in northern CA to just short of Inuvik on the Dempster highway.....up through B.C. and Y.T.
super nice. I'd love to do that again.......nice people, too........
that gel coat stuff can be a pain...dang......
I'm off on a roak trip next week to CO.....but, when I get back, my "mobile Hof" will get the attention it needs for the playa.........
I may be doing a ride along on "perimeter" patrol this year......sounds interesting......I've volunteered for that dept.
We'll see if they accept me......being the shy, soft, and timid fellow that I am.......
dang those nightmares...........I hope you can work that out.........
I'm off to Reno today.............

Well, hot for us is about 82F but the humidity makes it very muggy. Not at all like the dry heat down in Nevada.
I've never done the Dempster highway trip. I bet it is beautiful up that way.
Perimeter patrol sounds interesting. You'll be keeping out the bad apples and letting in the good ones, I guess.
Not sure as I'd say you're real timid or shy - could be an online thing though as I haven't met you in real life yet.
Have a safe trip to Reno, Fill up your travel mug for the road and I'll see if the fembot will brew another pot for the next ones.

we're supposed to be just at or above 100F......but, low humidity......nice fire weather.....yikes.......
Reno is only about 1.5 hours from here.......not to bad.
I'm riding with a friend, experienced GPE volunteer.......sounds interesting, though. I'm not real sure what to expect......
wellllll some might compare me to Barney Fife I suppose, if I'm doing perimeter........
I suppose you'll form your own opinions when we meet on playa.......I'm planning on the BDC meet & greet on Thursday........

Lucky you. She keeps hitting the snooze button on my morning coffee and by the time it gets to me it's cold and burnt.ygmir wrote:fembot makes it so nicely, and, since setting up the remote for "morning ritual",

Where is everyone? Haven't talked to GH in a week - we must be on opposite schedules now!
~time for cocktails here, but only mid-afternoon out west; mixing up a pitcher of Manhattans and pours one~
Crypto, I think the fembot is jealous of your power chair. That's why she keeps bringing you cold, burnt coffee. Maybe they need to be formally introduced.
Oops, looks like I missed MozyBonz. I wish I knew what he was talking about.

hey deb ... can i have one of them manhattans? or are they for easterners, only?
i think mozy (smack!) is referring to the number of people reading eplaya, but not posting... the views for this thread is now up to 4413165! there are often 50-100+ people on the site, but only a handful sign in, and many of those don't post. so it is kinda strange ...

Now that makes sense about the numbers viewing, I couldn't figure out where his numbers were coming from.
Might be because lots of work places track out going messages or sites that you sign into but they don't look as closely at the ones you just have open. Also the numbers might be artificially high from a setting on those work computers that causes a refresh after a few minutes.
That would be my guess, for what its worth.

thanks!
i think a lot of people check in here and there from work ... i used to spend half of my day online in my old job ... if i had known of this place, i would have been on it, it's so much fun ... lighten up a dreary cubicle....
the logistics of tracking people at work is incredible, actually... a small office could do it, but large offices, i doubt it. we had a guy who came in late at night to check out kiddie porn ... he only got nailed because he forgot to pick up a print job.
guzzles...

so i'm sittin on Mozy's wacky ass ergonomic keyboard so this is going to be a one-off, but just had to pop in and say howdy since i finally took him up on his long standing offer of hospitality and we sat up too late and drank a bunch and he caught me up on some of the happnin's round here. i love y'all and am sending good vibes to those that need it. i'm doin pretty damn good these days... broke as hell, but happy as fuck. heh. love my hubby (who takes full credit for being the reason i kinda vanished from here), opened a business, kids are doing great. we don't have much, but always seem to have just enough. and we're currently on a totally unplanned road trip while the kids are at their first sleepaway camp for 4 days. Found ourselves in the bay area and wanted to find some hotsprings, and had posted as much on tribe. Mozy offered a place to crash if we needed that, so we did!
having met and crashed with several eplayans now, i must say that the warmth and welcome is always amazing.
man i could use a bloody mary right about now...
Right. it's a bar.
*hops behind bar and climbs under it...far, far under it. roots around and pulls out and old dusty box. ["ah. right where i left it!"] sets it on the bar, blows the dust off and retrieves the dusty bottles of skyy, mary mix, and pickled stuff. lines up several glasses and (with impressive speed) creates a dozen spicy sweet bloody marys with a pickled salad in every one*
ahhh.. that felt good.
happy mary monday!!
and thanks Mozy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*mwah!!!*
