howZ the sand on the playa this year?

curious if anyone knows how the playa looks this year. last year there were sand dune obstacles all over the place, which made night biking kind of a drag.....

Great news! There is NO sand this year! In fact there's no sand any year! Now, ya wanna talk about alakalai silt?

I was on the playa a week ago. The surface is pretty good, it rained a lotin June so the playa is still damp but it will get drier and dustier in the next two months.
It will not be as good as it could be but it should be better than last year.
When I was out there I saw a few people, some cars, trucks and a land speed record car but no sand.
