I'm sure many from the area will help out but I just had to mention the thrift store that Howeird took me to in the East Bay area in April. I was visiting SF to go to the memorial for Caleb on Ocean Beach and I had only packed casual vacation wear and clothes for a conference I was also attending later in the trip.
I felt what I needed was something in black and something to keep warm.
I found a great skirt and a couple of tops. Howeird found me a fur coat that was perfect! And he gifted it to me! We left the store having spent a miniscule amount of money and it was perfect.
Hopefully Howeird will come along here and give you the address - all I can remember is that it was not far from a tire shop and a bank and was in a strip mall. I have to say my best playa finds have always been in thrift stores.

Jeez Deb, don't narrow it down that much, we don't want to make the quest so easy
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Prisim Magic Clothing is a funky little store in Sparks, it is run by burners and burners are a large part of their business. They have a good selection of tie dye and petticoats. They are nice people,

If you decide to stop there on the way to Black Rock City there are a SuperWallyMart, a Costco and other stores a mile up the road, and a SaveMart a few miles farther. Keep going out the Pyramid Highway (445) to Pyramid Lake turn onto 446 and left on 447 at Nixon.

Hey!
This question is for any seamstresses in the house. I am looking for a pattern or suggestions for this. It is hard to explain and I cannot post pix. DOn't know how. Anyways, its leggings for club wear. I got the material; fuzzy stuff. I've seen girls wear these things that go around the thigh and they go down to their feet. Each leg. They are so hot and would love to know how to make them. I am not a good seamstress so whatever helpful hints you can throw my way, would be highly appreciated. Thanks and Good luck on your journeys home.
Peace,
Lorgasm
