Burning Man Weddings

Hello,

My boyfriend and I are planning to attend this years festival and also plan to get married soon - so, we figured the festival could be as good a place as any...

Has anyone done it? Was it easy to do? Would you recommend it?

I don't know from experience, but I know there are some preparatory things you have to do before you get on the playa (unless you just want the ceremony without the legality)

Someone named Steph did it - she even posted her account of the event on the main site.

The main Burning Man site also has a page for basic suggestions.

YOu have to get the licence before you hit the playa and you have to have an officent recognized byt the State fo Nevada. You'll be going to the Lovelock (county seat) Courthouse to get the paper.

I have been involved in 1, and friends of mine also got married.

Be prepared for anything to happen, is all I have to say. One of the weddings had an impromptu visit from an art car in the middle.
