That one part went up pretty quickly. A few more trips to OSH for some washers, bolts, and nuts, and hopefully this thing should be done by next weekend.

i believe the word is modesty.

and just like when i walk into any venue with my lovely consort, connie, all monkeys immediately want to kill me for i stand in their way.

of course, they are sadly outgunned, and i do not want to rub it in their faces so to speak by insisting on comparisons.

i walk softly in hard boots, and i use velcro to keep it secure, it's better than duct tape, and i don't wear short shorts, because the tip of the iceberg is all anyone ever sees.

Looks great and I had a thought how bad it would look if you used limb wood 3" dia bark removed, would look very barbarian. (one skinny tree should give enough lumber) Or have you considered "distressing" the horizontal pieces, by banging on them with a double jack sledge hammer, done right it would look really nice.

The Deliverer is correct. Can we stain our wooden beams with something safe for the environment? Walnut hulls and linseed oil? Do you see where a brace of nice skulls and bones would fit in?

I am losing count of the double-entendres and from now on I'll be free-styling.

i was thinking of making something for the ends of the beams, papier mache, prehaps ... but i am not sure if i'll have time. how big are the ends? i'd need to find wood to work with, so they fit.

i can bring some glue, and red paint.... if we decorate from the ends of the structures in, we may be able to give decorated pieces away, and burn the rest... what do you think? an ongoing artwork! we would have to be able to cut pieces off, though.
