the moment.

Post by H.G.Crosby » Tue Jul 21, 2009 9:15 pm

this fencer i know had her foot broken in a match by some romanian bitch, but i digress, the video could not prove it was intentional, but, where was i before i saw red, oh yeah....pain.

she (the fencer) battled on and won the match, fierce is she, and determined.

she felt no pain the whole time, or if she did, the focus and the drive to win overcame whatever "pain" she was enduring.

it really is all in the mind, and if you are doing something you truly love, or something heroic, and that can be as small as catching a baseball when your foot hurts, or saving someone from a burning building or a violent act on innocents, but either way, when you are in "the zone" you can almost do anything, and move any mountain.

marfans syndrome causes almost constant pain...

ach, so what else is new....best to leave the opiates until you REALLY REALLY REALLY need them, then they'll work, and when you dont need them, leave them be.

dont get lulled into a false dream though.

now where are my cigarettes god dammit.

Crap. I didn't know vicodin was an opiate til Mozy told me. I hate opiates. They're a bitch to withdraw from. Really hard. When Gerry was alive and fighting cancer he was on Oxycontin, lortabs, morphine, and oh god - about 14 other drugs I can't remember the names of. We were both dope heads before he got the cancer, but man when he started getting scrips for all that stuff we really went hog-head-wild popping pills. He gave them to me freely and I popped them just to pop them, right along with an endless supply of valiums. (I'm amazed I'm not dead, I swear....) When he died I still had a 3 months supply of everything. I was so hooked on those things, I couldn't stop. Every time I tried I'd get awful sick. Then I ran out. OMG, I wanted to freaking DIE. I'm serious. The withdrawals were like something from hell. I stayed in a fetal position for 3 days aching and crying, rolling and writhing in agony.

I will never ever take oxys or any of that crap again. When I was in the hospital the other day, for the pain they shot me up twice with dilaudid, a very powerful pain killer. I hated the way I felt the next day. I'm glad my friends told me to throw the vicodin away. I have a dope fiend mind. I do. It was really hard flushing them, but I knew it was the best thing to do for me.

Baby RJ has gone off to his daddy's house now. I had a really good day with him but now I am exhausted. I really did overdo it today but I was just so happy to see him. I have been so sick of being in this house so we went for 2 walks, then I took him swimming. I'm feeling like a mac truck ran me over me again, but it's all good. I know I'll sleep good tonight.

Good night all.

good evening gentlemen.

Couldn't sleep, Mozy. So i've returned to your nightmare!

Hi Goathead, how goes the battle with machines tonight.

Please someone do tell what does NEB stand for?

Never Ending Blanket.

The battle is ongoing, but nothing major tonight,
at least not yet anyway.

Of course its a Never Ending Blanket!

Glad to hear the controls are under control.

It has been the busiest of days in this bar today. You wouldn't believe the commotion. Everyone and their cousin visited.

I changed the oil in my camper today. Yuck, what a job. Check the fluids. Now I have a squeaky belt that I need to figure out.

Did you get coffee, then?

Doggy wanders in, sees NEB all ready for him. How sweet! Thanks!!

Dog saunters to the blanket, does his 3 circles, and flops into a blue furry heap. Nite nite all!

A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Hi Harry

I was hoping Vietnam was over but the cheerful voice of Robin Williams still brings back memories of bad things happening to good people.

Not to dampen YOUR cheerful voice. How's things? Will you have a night cap?

I'm having whiskey, myself. But I'll mix something, if you're up for it.

What is your preference, sir?

There is a stupendous variety here.

Are clowns a particular bone of contention for you?

can we get a what what in the house please....

this goes out to all of my gay brothers and sisters, and my black and brown brothers and sisters, and to all the nerds who danced alone in their houses hoping someone would ask them to join in....

well another year.

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Doom and gloom and dark despair
People dying everywhere!
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
May the candles on my cake
Burn like cities in my wake.
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
my servants steal, my wife's untrue
my children plot to murder you
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Burn the castle and storm the keep
Kill the women, but save the goats
For my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Birthdays come but once a year
Marking time as Death draws near
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Now I've aged another year
Now I know that Death is near
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Now that I'm the age I are
My demise cannot be far
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
The BRC has just struck my town
I always feel quite run-down
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Burn, then rape by firelight
Add _romance_ to life tonight
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Indigestion's what my get
From the enemies I 'et
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
I love children, yes I do
Baked or broiled or in a stew
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
May my deeds with sword and axe
Equal those with sheep and yaks
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
This one lesson I must learn
First I pillage, then I burn
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
While I eat your birthday stew
We will loot the town for you,
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
We brought linen, white as cloud
The women sit and sew my shroud
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
Just be glad the friends I've got
Haven't found out you-know-what
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
I'm a leper, can't you see
Have a birthday kiss from me
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's your Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
It's my birthday never fear
I'll be dead this time next year
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
So far Death me have bypassed
Don't look back, he's gaining fast
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
I must marry very soon
Baby's due by next full moon
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)
When I've reached this age you know
That the mind is first to go
On my Birthday! (thud!) Happy Birthday! (thud!)

It's my Birthday (thud!) Happy Birthday (thud!)
I are very, very old
Soon I will be dead and cold
It's my Birthday (thud!) Happy Birthday (thud!)

See if Betty Boop can cheer you up. You're young yet, you know. Even if you are a little older than I am, Pa.
