Good mornin' campers;

Finally had a good night's sleep. Must be the NEB!

I'll take a cup of love, Sputnik. That'll get things goin' especially if I put in some Espresso.

~wish the rain would stop here. I've had only one good day of painting in the last 5 days. Still need two good days and it's gray and overcast here again.

Thanks for the invite to Barbarian Camp, littleflower. I know for sure I'm heading over to Terminal Village on Tuesday night for the Vampirate Night at the Boobie Bar. I have real special friends there so I want to drop in and see how they're doing. Took myself off the schedule at the newspaper for Tuesday night for sure.

Pinemom;

cold compress on your neck will increase the blood flow to your head. this lack of blood to the head is the cause of 90%+ of headaches. either that or get TITWI to massage your neck.

Here try this:

good morning!

*sips warm ugly leprechaun from last night * thanks mozy! have you ever actually made one of those?

my nephew's band did well in the battle of the bands ... at least, the bartender was impressed and wanted to see more, which is about as high a compliment as i can think of in a place like that. unfortunately you couldn't hear the singer's deep, smokey, sexy, jim morrisonish voice. he looks like a baby-faced morrison, too! bluesy rock, nobody plays this stuff anymore, they are a breath of fresh air! and they can JAM! not bad for a bunch of high schoolers...

pinemom ... how long have you had that headache? if it doesn't go away, and especially if it gets worse, please, please call a doctor or go to emergency! i get migraines, and hate 'em, but i know what they are... if you don't know, find out. they can kill...

deb, i just hope you get out and about and have lots of fun ...! woo-hoo. 5 weeks! i got way too much to do still....

the parties we had in paris during the twenties were elegant, tasteful, aesthetic and decadent.

burning man is dusty, loud, crude, obnoxious, and dangerous...

same thing, sorta...

i'll just have some expresso today, i have alot to do, or not.

thank you...

You know, 36000 sounds kinda cozy. It may turn into a magical burn after all.

The bad news...I gotta find a way to get my power chair to the playa.

I got five weeks! so, if I pretend I don't know it for 2 and then run around like a nut for 3, I can sulk onplaya. This is a good plan.

Good morning all!!! Guess what I did?? I got back on my bike this morning!!! Yeah!! Mozy and Bump and Mozy Jr. convinced me yesterday that getting back on the bike would be the best thing I could do. I took it slow and was very cautious, especially when coming up on a driveway. :P It felt good to get out and ride again. "Walk through your fear and watch it disappear!!" So, I've been reading up on websites about bicycles, rules, laws, advocate groups, etc. I've decided something needs to be done about the safety of bicyclists and I am joining the cause. *raises fist high in air* With as many people that are trading in their cars for bicycles these days (for many reasons), people in cars need to be more aware and cautious. Anyway, I'm spending my day writing letters to government officials. Bike lanes need to be wider and safer. Maybe we should have commercials on TV about bicycle awareness too, flooding the airways, telling folks, "WATCH FOR BIKES, YOU BUTTWIPES!!!" That might help.

I found these sites:
http://www.sacbike.org/
http://www.railstotrails.org/ourwork/ad ... index.html

Have a great day, y'all.

This reminded me of something I made one time, only it was made to be used as a hot compress. What ya do is this:

1. Take one of those blue/purple material bags that Crown Royal comes in
2. Snip off the metal grommet eye thingies
3. Fill bag halfway with regular raw white rice
4. Sew the end up tight.
5. Place in microwave for about 1-2 minutes on high.
6. Place on ailing part of body. The bag molds to your body. The rice holds the heat for quite a good long time. It works great for aching muscles and bones, back pain, arthritis, etc.

Monkeypoo; that's a great idea. I have one that has barley in it and it can either go in the microwave or in the freezer. Either way it provides relief from headache when you put it on your neck.

Squashed Frog
15 ml Midori® melon liqueur
10 ml advocaat liqueur
10 ml Bailey's® Irish cream
2 dashes grenadine syrup

Pours Midori then Advocaat in glass. Adds a few dashes of grenadine and then floats Bailey's on top.

Lines some up on the bar.
