Newbie from Hawaii (but really Seattle)

Heya guys! After years and years of hemming and hawing, I'm finally coming to my first Burning Man

I'm from Seattle, but living in Hawaii (It feels like I'm the only person on the island who knows what Burning Man is, let alone is making the trip) and I'll be flying back home in late Aug to prep and drive down with some buddies. All but one of us are burgins.

I bought my ticket about a month ago, and all I've thought about since then is BM. (Aside from basic food/sleep/sex thoughts...) I've been researching and studying, and hopefully I won't appear to be as big a newb as I'll feel.

I'm quitting my job to be able to come out and do this (They won't give me enough time off.) So, uh... it better be worth it!

There are other burners in Hawaii somewhere. And I have one friend who is a burner from Seattle who moved to Hawaii in March. Not sure he's coming to the burn this year though.

Just wanted to say that I will be volunteering at the airport and... um... well, I just wanted a place to talk about it, really. I think that all of my friends are tired of hearing about Burning Man. Eventually they'll gag me and then I'll have to mumble about it instead of talking and I bet that'll get even more annoying.

So, yeah. I'll be on the runway to meet people who are coming in! Yay!
