"Whoops! Now I Know Not to Leave That In My Tent/Car&qu
Your tent and car heat up....a lot. Living in AZ sometimes you get fun summer surprises, like when your tire pops and the tool to get your spare out has melted into t he form of yer truck. What are some things that should never be left in your car or in yer tent?
Of course there is the obvious,
chap stick(in stick form)
duct tape(especially on yer seats)
2.5 gallon bottles of water
Then there was some that are surprising:
CDs
CD cases
your spray sunscreen (as i said in another thread)
yer knife (and if you do leave it in there, hope you dont have to use it)
any glow toys you might wanna play with later
any others?

My puppy. Ended up melting in the middle of the "shotgun" seat. All those puppy colors running together into a big lake of dirty brown.
I'm jsut going to snark until I learn better. And given my track record--don't hold your breath.

Coolers heat up faster in a vehicle then in a tent. The ground contact helps to keep them colder and a shaded tent is the best.
Remember to add a couple of drops of Iodine to the ice every few days to kill bacteria from cross contamination and your dirty fucking paws reaching into it or you'll be sitting in the porta potties all day and most of the week.
personal hygene is the number one cause of sickness during BM!
second is the coffee in center camp

The Tide survived for 5 hours in 100 degree heat. Just an FYI for you folks that live in hot places!LostinReno wrote:AntiM wrote:Gummi bears. We just learned that lesson, turns into a nice coloful sheet of goo! It's kind of pretty like splotchy stained glass! Luckily what made it out of the bag only melted onto the rubber floormat and not a seat! I can't even blame the nephew. I left it there.
I bought a gallon of laundry detergent at lunch, once again not thinking that the internal temp of my car will probably reach 140 degrees today. I will know at 5 if it explodes. I'll keep ya posted. I think it's supposed to be 100 (on the outside of the car) today.
I have burnt my leg with the perfect outline of the metal seat belt part before, that was less than delightful.
