from the coca cola company's "Active, healthy living" page, next to a guy on the beach doing yoga with a bottle of something next to him:
As a Company, we care about people's health and well-being and want to make a positive difference in people's lives, both physically and emotionally. We aspire to help people lead active, healthy lifestyles through the beverages we produce and how we market them, the nutritional information we provide and our support of programs that encourage active living.

Every soft drink company uses HFCS. When you go to the store try to find one drink that doesn't use it- unless you'r at the health food store.

I rather be eating all the bugs posted on this thread then then a product with HFCS.

You eat lobster- your eating a bug! It's just bigger.

Supposedly Healthy Cereals Contain High Fructose Corn Syrup.
January 2nd, 2008

Why proclaim that a cereal is good for you when it contains a potentially harmful ingredient like high fructose corn syrup? I wrote about the debate between HFCS and regular sugar before, and mentioned this:

“In soda, it has been found that by using HFCS instead of pure sugar it can make the soda 10 times richer in harmful carbonyl compounds. According to one study, carbonyl compounds are elevated in people with diabetes and are blamed for causing diabetic complications such as foot ulcers and eye and nerve damage. Another study concluded that foods with increased fructose “produced significantly higher fasting plasma triacylglycerol values than did the glucose diet in menâ€

that's nice to see. What the cost difference?

Too bad I haven't seen it in deli and other food emporiums yets, but nice to know companies are starting to change, but it takes a loss of market niche to make them do so.

Now we'll see if cocacola co. will start switching back to the good ol' daze too.

In a way, they are just confirming that HFCS is fucking bad so "Stop Eating Tat"

I agree AIIZ. So far I've only seen it in stores. Same price. I don't know if these will be an addition to the product line or just a little test marketing. I'm happy cause I love my Dew and it tastes the some as its HFCS brother.

Try to find a product of non- alcohol beverage, cookie, pancake syrup, cereal, fruit drink, soda or anything that might have sweet taste to it.

This shit is a slow poison.

I have been free of it for several weeks now and feel better then I have in years. I was staying with my sister and her live-in daughter w/ kids. Her house was infested with products containing this poison. Then I started to have cramps all the time. I kept wondering what was it that I was or wasn't eating, drinking or doing to get them. Then I started hearing about warnings on HFCS on heart disease and diabetes. So I read up on this crap.

http://www.westonaprice.org/modernfood/ ... ctose.html

I avoid this shit at all costs. Now, I haven't had a muscle cramp since stopping its use. It significantly cheaper then real cane sugar so companies are using it in everything. In use since the 1970's its no wonder why america and world is getting fatter with more diabetes and heart disease. Many of your kids are eating half their calories from this shit.

This shit and all products containing it should be taxed to fund the heath care costs they create.

Have a nice day!

Have you seen this shit? They been playing this shit non stop out here in the Bay...

You're in for a sweet surprise all right!

Yes, the food association of fat bellies and cardiovascular industries along with the drug companies are putting out ads against taxing HFCS drinks.

they play people making them look like dummies! "It's OK when used in moderation" should give you the clue to it's danger, but its fucking everywhere! When people find out about that shit then the ad is a fucking joke about the average american who listens to warnings from friends and doesn't want to spend time researching them!

and they are right if you eat it in moderation. I didn't have that many cramps because I would never eat processed foods and bought most of it from an organic store. But I'd have an occasional soda drink with my tacos and such. So I had occasional cramping. But it was when I lived with my sister and her live-in daughter, that I was ramping up the processed food intake when I noticed cramping more. Then I was the big pancake breakfast with loads of syrup that almost every muscle was cramping- I also put on another 10lbs. That was when I read an article about HFCS blocking minerals. The rest is history that I won't repeat.

http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2008 ... orn-syrup/

As I said, I've been HFCS free for weeks now and I haven't had muscle cramps. It was the only thing that I've changed in my diet! Now to prove it I should go back on eating that shit. Sorry I don't have to because I listen my body and it say what the fuck are you doing to me with TAT shit!.

Common Foods High in HFCS

•Regular soft drinks
•Fruit juice and fruit drinks that are not 100 percent juice
•Pancake syrups
•Popsicles
•Fruit-flavored yogurts
•Frozen yogurts
•Ketchup and BBQ sauces
•Jarred and canned pasta sauces
•Canned soups
•Canned fruits (if not in its own juice)
•Breakfast cereals
•Highly sweetened breakfast cereals

I rather put those calories not into my tank, but my cars

PS- Hey, Corn Suppliers! I'm a medical researcher and I need to fund some of my experiments so if you throw a few deniri to me, you know to help me out. I could then publish a report showing your product in a more favored light! We can keep that hush, hush!

Bacon is so mainstream. There was a time once that was actually edgy.

Tripe!
