Shade structure with wall kit

Post by camerakarl » Sat Jul 25, 2009 11:13 am

We at Camp Bacchanalia have used a Moto Shade (carport) the last 2 years & it's held up great in the storms with heavy duty tiedowns, bit without the tarp-like walls. Now we're thinking of getting a wall kit & I'm concerned about how that will affect stability in high winds. Since it would be completely enclosed, except for a couple inches around the bottom, the wind won't pass through so I worry that the thing would be more likely to lift or blow over. Anybody have experience with that? Thanks for any input!

If its a standard dimension car port, use shade fabric on the sides. Allows the wind to pass through and catches a lot of the dust. We are ditching all of the vinyl on our two car ports this year and using reflective tarps tied to the frame over the tents for a roof and shade fabric to wrap it in.
Playawaste Raiders cordially invites you to suck it.

We have had a costco carport with roof and all four walls setup 24/7 for the last 2 years. During the winter we use a broom from the inside to remove snow. It stays up all summer and went to burning man last year.
