Under the provisions of the Patriot Act all burning man attendees names and data can be turned over to the Department of Homeland Security.
Under these same provisions, the names and data of all Nordstroms, Cabelas and Walmart shoppers can be turned over as well.

Besides, your implication that as an American citizen I can be whisked off to our extrajudicial Cuban themepark is erroneous. US citizens may be arrested and held and their Habeas Corpus rights (possibly) violated, but it will be in a US (probably military) prison. They hauled Yaser Esam Hamdi out of Guantanamo when they found out he had US citizenship, and he was captured in Afghanistan. Jose Padilla was never moved outside of the US after his capture.

We will know this summer whether the Supreme Court will uphold the Hamdi and Padilla detentions, or whether US Citizens will have their due process rights revoked upon Executive decree.

sorry, last sentence "and whether"

I *hate* not having an edit feature. It's the 'treating headache with decaptitation' solution.

BBR, you had me laughing- you have just now left me speechless.
I have no idea how to respond to your latest post.

Though I would think that Homeland Security would rather flag the name of a potentially dangerous ex-vet that prefers to live alone in the hills. Your training, plus the fact that you keep current with your skillset yet do not work for the government, makes you far more dangerous than some high-tech hippy renting an RV. What's he gonna do- throw flowers at a tank?

No, I don't think so. Why would you not object when several people in this thread say you are BRR?

At the very least it's not any more poorly thought out than your own assumption.

Damn, all this about Homeland Defense and NSA, its a wonder they did not just drag me off when they (Homeland Defense) were in my office a week or two ago. I doubt they could have missed the BM calendar or the BM screen saver or the ticket confermation stuck on my wall. Actually I know they saw the screen saver, it lived up to its purpose, that is to make people say 'That is that!?

heh, heh

"All of you who will attend could be subject to the above."

Poison, poison, poison... attempting to suck the happy emotions out of the event like a spider sucking on a fly. It appears that this person, whatever gender they may or may not be, is a perfect conduit of fear, paranoia (whether justiftified or not) and mistrust. Sorry, I gave them up years ago, as did many of the 'adjusted' (and mis-adjusted) people going to the burn.

It doesn't mean that I don't agree with Maia, because I know that under the Homeland Insecurity Act I can be personally butt-fucked by the daisy-chain of Bush-Chaney-Ashcroft, and there is not a damn thing I can do about it. I just won't let it ruin my present Joy.

Some people are only happy when they're crapping on someone else's living room carpet. Maia, crap away. The roses need the manure.

Deep thoughts: What does a cow think about a bacon double cheeseburger after they die?

"Alright, let me get this straight...
I understand you killing and eating me. You're a predator, that's what you do.

But you squeezed the milk from my tits, let it curdle, and put whose corpse on top of me?"

How can you tell if a Nevada Redneck has been cleaning their gun?

Count how many fingers they have left.

I prefer neither but I'm afraid that Ms. Love and her crew will force me to wear pants and a shirt and possibly a bag over my head.

Hey,

too much thread drift.

The thread title is "Fascism in Action "

(hey, you know something, that title has a sound that sounds some what of a sexual undertone to it. Like a black hat, black Hi heel boots and a whip.)

Is forcing the thread back to the topic considered crypto-fascism? Or just a respect for a sense of order.

Speaking of order... just where are my fries?

An old English couple wakes up in the morning. As they get out of bed, the woman looks over to see an automotive steering wheel at the base of her husband's penis.

"William," she asks, "wots that steerin' wheel doin on yor tallywacker?"

The man looks down in astonishment and says, "Don know luv, but its drivin me nuts!"
