yeah Mozy, I think you're right. I noticed the slowness earlier in the day. Thought it was just my computer but it's just eplaya.

Think I'll join you in a Crown Royal, Mozy.

I am feeling better than most.

It's nice feeling having no pre burn pressure.
I feel good about not going this year and having no plans for future years.
I'm not saying i will never go again but at this point I don't have any desire too.
I will miss people but it's not the end of the world.

Howdy, ygmir;

Thanks for the acronym lesson. So is the ROS a seat for two then?

I love the names, it gives me something to guess at. :D

Can I get you something? Mozy and I will be ready for another Crown Royal before long.

Let's have a tune...

hey Deb, yeah, sure, if you're pouring........Vana Tallinn, please, neat.

GH:
the animal totem thing can be somewhat confusing.........there are many thoughts and ideas, and, web pages that sometimes conflict.........
even differences cultures and stuff...........

As often as not, if, you let your mind "go" (for some of us, it's never here.....ahahahaa), you will get the message...........short meditation on the animal, it's stengths and weaknesses, and, what it could mean to you..........

for instance:
if a grizzly bear is standing on your chest and drooling, it could indicate impending injury..........
hahahaha

but, seriously, you can get a lot just by "asking", even the animal itself, when presented........

Snakes as often as not represent wisdom......and stealth, tenacity and logic.
Bats can be messengers, helpers, able to use senses or magic "outside the box".......

but, that's my take on it...........

Is that a bat, ygmir? He does look furry and soft. I've never seen one sit still long enough for a photo op!

Looked up a page on animal totems and this was one conclusion about the sighting of a bat:

"When bat appears it is asking you to surrender yourself to the process of change. Opportunities unknown to the conscious mind are about to manifest."

Looks like its time for evolution, ygmir!

ah ygmir, sorry for stepping on your toes there on the analysis of totems. You are obviously an expert, I just went to one of the pages that offers insight into the different ideas. Very fascinating stuff.

Bottoms up,

HI Deb:
Well, GH took the pic, but, it sure looks like a bat to me.........

and, the quote you give is as good a statement as any.

Dougly had a great sig line a while back.
I paraphrase:

" believe nothing, even if you experience it yourself, even if I tell you, unless it agrees with your thoughts"

I think this very much applies.
Hence, my suggestion of "asking" it, and/or meditation.........

I find being open to knowledge and "alternative thinking" allows much of it through, and, a POV that can be very "expanding"........

but, then again, that's coming from a Nordic Pagan practitioner............

GH: IMHO, good call.......if open, you'll get exactly what is meant for you.......and, we tend, at times , to over analyze things.......if that's what you get, it's what was meant...........

Deb:
I'm no expert, I just have my "instincts" on these things, and, they work for me.........if they work for others, I'm a happy Pagan........

thanks for the Vana Tallinn......such an unusual drink.......great in coffee, as well..........

or, as a body shot, in a dark little bar in Estonia, sitting with friends, drizzled upon one of them, and.......well......er........

I think I'm ready for sleep now...........

g'nite all.

a POV that can be very "expanding"........
That's what I love about Burning Man, it expands your mind by meeting all sorts of different people with many different ideas that help explain the universe.

Ready for another there, Mozy?
