Badger,

I did not write the law, I only referred to it to point out to BBR that it was in violation of a California law as technopatra lives in SF,CA regardless of where the original post came from. That is all I did and that was my entire intent. If anyone wants to read the whole law I posted it on page 1 of this thread. I ended this post by requesting the thread be shut down. Technopatra a few posts later stated that any request to close the thread would have to be made official by emailing her. I did. 3 words, No official complaint.

HEADLINE: Burningman Busted open!
We had Indian Jack over for supper last night. He is a Paiute ranch hand from down the road a piece. He brought some pronghorn steaks,, I cooked them up with new spring vegies from the garden. He dropped a bit of a bombshell, when he told us he never misses Burningman.. With broad smile, he said there are only two places in Nevada where he can screw white women (still a racist state here) whorehouses (legal here) and Burning Man. He says he has a whole "shaman schtick" and the white girls love it.. He says, laughing, even the vegetarians like red meat..

That got me thinking, I emailed some male friends who are cursed with a likeing for burning man and asked them if they went for the "chicks". R and S said yes,, If you have a phoney spiritual line of Bull, and especially if you like fat chicks.

My husband would not do well I guess, snap button shirts, Jeans,, guns.

Maia,

Let me guess, you enjoy being abused. Why do you come back to eplaya?
Are you a wanna be Burner?
Seems to me you are jealous of seeing burners having a good time.
These sorts of things I'm familiar with. I have seen the same types of people envy me for having a good time for many years. This I've seen all my life. It's called animosity. Not a good thing. It’s been demonstrated on this board time after time again, animostic individuals always get kicked to the curb. You will too.

The most ironic thing about this thread is that it was created by the most fascist one of all.

P.S. Does your Indian friend kiss your butt also? Bet you like that sort of thing huh?

Maia,

Or as I think of you, it,

If you are going to post a quote from me use the whole post. Not just the part that fits into your rant. The partial quote thing is used by such august publications as the “National Inquirer”. Headlines like “Michel Jackson is a Space Alien”, all right, not the best example but it is all I could come up with.

it, I could have killed this thread by posting an official complaint to admin. I will now type slow so you can get it. I did post to Admin. 3 words. Quote “No official complaint”. I like Admin’s style, King Log not King Stork.

I will now type at normal speed.

To the rest of the Eplayans. Because of the “National Inquirer” thing above it triggered a spurious neuron and I have to post this. If you want to have a blast on a camping trip where everyone is sitting around the campfire at the end of the day then grab up a copy of all those “newspapers” just before you go. After the 3rd round of intoxicants pass the papers out and tell everyone they have to read one article out loud. Try to make sure someone is not laughing so hard that they fall in the fire.

I am well armed and have lots of weapons unimaginable. Bats can be can be the simplest of weapons I call upon.

Black Rock Rick has a point if we try to silent those that oppose use will we just become ignorant to their plans of opposition. If we let those that polarize into corners how will confront them unless we take their concerns as a legitimate point. See it for what it is.

Nobody asked, but here's my take on Black Rock Ric;
He's probably a fundamentally decent guy. He works for his money (at a tough job, I've been a repo man, I know about highly confrontational jobs), apparently is into taking care of his family (his kids probably aren't gonna grow up to be criminals), yada yada.
He lives in a beautiful, unpopulated, unspoiled place and doesn't want to see it screwed up.
And he finds amusement in agitating burners on e-playa.

But, of course, he doesn't have any more right to be out there than any of us do. Hell, we show up for a week (and pay the BLM for the right to do so), make some noise way out in the middle of nowhere, clean up after ourselves, and leave. He apparently thinks we're going to mess up "his" desert.

But he really likes flaming up the burners. He's actually pretty good at it.

Nah, not really. I'd give him 4 out of a possible 10.

Too predictable. His thrusts were punctuated with too much self-righteousness which suggests a tendency towards an over-inflated sense of indignation. He actually loves us. We provide a diversion from what must be - at times - a predictable living experience. Nothing wrong with that BTW, it's just that we all need something to stir the emotions. We provide the 'other' in his need to rail against the maddening world. For him it's us. For me it's Republicans, bad poets and religious zealots.

Same difference.

I'd rate him a little higher than that, although he blew it a little when he got all bent himself when Technopatra booted him.

As much of a dick as he likes to be on here, I'd like to swap stories of crazy shit we've done over a few beers with the guy.

I would say that I am pretty good at getting the bass out of the mud at the bottom of the lake. It really does not take much effort to get you guys snapping at the bait.
Several people have stated that I must be a wanna be, one thing or another. Badger your quote is similiarly silly. I am for bettter or worse, exactly what I want to be. And, now thanks to Nicole Maron's Paul Bremeresque censorship attempts, I have a new and enjoyable task. burning man won't take a stand on Sempra?, as reported by Deidre in the Reno News and Kazoo. That is likely to come back and bite the little guy in the butt. Imagine how the image of bm would change if the 30,000 + partiers, were able to organize real opposition to the plant..

If you're basing your popularity on the number of replies to your posts then it'd seem that DeFacto has you beat in spades in substantive contributions to this board. Yet another example of you overestimating yourself.

And we KNOW that's not the case.

Isotopia a rational look at my post would show you that I did not estimate anything. I posted numbers reflecting the fact, that you and the rest of the sheep react to the sheepdog(as you just did), comparison of my numbers to a bm cultist, would be similar to Rush Limbaugh stating that since more conservatives than liberals call into his show, then his show is show is more popular with conservatives, duh..

Joel, was that another cut and paste quote? Or an example of your insightful thinking?

Insightful thinking using the cut and paste process....

The Trial
Good morning, The Worm, Your Honour,
The Crown will plainly show,
The prisoner who now stands before you,
Was caught red-handed showing feelings.
Showing feelings of an almost human nature.
This will not do.

Call the schoolmaster!

I always said he'd come to no good,
In the end, Your Honour.
If they'd let me have my way,
I could have flayed him into shape.
But my hands were tied.
The bleeding hearts and artists,
Let him get away with murder.
Let me hammer him today.

Crazy.
Toys in the attic, I am crazy.
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.
(Crazy. Toys in the attic, he is crazy.)

You little shit, you're in it now.
I hope they throw away the key.
You should've talked to me more often than you did.
But no! You had to go your own way.
Have you broken any homes up lately?
Just five minutes, Worm, Your Honour,
Him and me alone.

Baaaaaabe!
Come to Mother, baby.
Let me hold you in my arms.
M'Lord, I never meant for him to get in any trouble.
Why'd he ever have to leave me?
Worm, Your Honour, let me take him home.

Crazy.
Over the rainbow, I am crazy.
Bars in the window.
There must have been a door there in the wall.
For when I came in. . .
(Crazy. Over the rainbow, he is crazy.)

The evidence before the court is incontravertible.
There's no need for the jury to retire.
In all my years of judging I have never heard before,
Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law.
The way you made them suffer,
Your exquisite wife and mother,
Fills me with the urge to deficate! -- No, Judge, the jury!
Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fear,
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers.
Tear down the wall!

excerpted from The Wall by Pink Floyd

Welcome to BRR's Bait Shop.....We also sell trolling motors!
Image

So BRR goes from anti-bm to trying to organize 30,000 burners against Sempra. I wonder when the anti-bm personality will resurface? I wonder what agenda BRR really has? I'm seeing different things with the various socks, oops I meant identities and I don't know what to think about it all.

Tank. my initial postings were an effort to create some interest in anti Sempra. Ya'lls peculiar BBS navel lint contemplation soon "dissed" that possibility.

Tank, I use an overt/covert approach to my postings, the overt is what ya'll respond to (exactly according to my secret plan to rule the web). The covert part is apparently subtle enough that although you walk all over it, only two people have figured it out and contacted me regarding it. The covert part of my postings exists alongside the overt and has given me the data to come up with a way to materially affect bm, perhaps in moving it, perhaps in shutting it down all together.

We will know by Labor Day whether I have had success. All the peripherial stuff ya'll flame on is completely irrelevant, and serves as a bird dog to flush out important data.. but ya'll don't get it "do you, Mr. Jones.."

An analogy for stuart.. someone is peeing on his head and he is argueing about the style of sunglasses the pee-er is wearing.

1st amendment

Post by Guest » Wed May 05, 2004 7:37 am

Back to the issue of censorship and free speech. Michael Moore has made a film on the relationship of Bush and the Saudi royal family. Disney is not allowing it to be distributed by Miramax as it is critical of the Bush family, Disney is exercising censorship. Moore is quoted as saying, [quote] "At some point the question has to be asked, `Should this be happening in a free and open society where the monied interests essentially call the shots regarding the information that the public is allowed to see?' "

Censorship occurs on this site, statements have been made on this site to the effect that this is a private club or the equivalent of a private home. It is however a public forum accessible to everyone, and as such is subject to the Bill of Rights. As Michael Moore says, "Should this be happening in a free and open society [.... ] ? Either we have a free and open society or we don't. Our civil liberties are under constant assault. The Bushes, Michael Eisners, and need I say? Nicole Marons, of this world cannot be allowed to diminish our rights.

A person who can feel justified in suppressing any of the first 10 ammendments will have to answer to Thomas Jefferson upon their departure from this plane of existence.

Voltaire, 6 feb 1770; ...."``Monsieur l'abbé, I detest what you write, but I would give my life to make it possible for you to continue to write.''
