I have been contacted by several people on this, so I thought it should have a thread of its own. The M&G will be held at Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. We do respectfully request that you bring something to share, such as beer, alcohol, mixer, snacks, or ice. NOTE: The wine bistro is closed for those three hours! In years past we have been drained of our wine and we really don't want that to happen again. So, who's in?

It bewilders me that most people don't do the gifting thing when people go to BM and expect every bar or camp to supply all the booze. Even most camps have a very limited supply of alcohol and depend on people bringing their own to contribute to the party.

So here's a little suggestion on making playa friends real fast. Every event or every night Take a bottle or your favorite. If you like to drink a lot take two. When you get to an event or bar, give it to the bartender and tell him to share it. If you don't what to drain it at that bar then just tell him to use so much.

Later, in night or another day, if you show up again and drank your nightly alotment, the bar will remember you for bringing and sharing and gladly gift you back with a drink.

Remember by the end of the event the only mixer you might find, if that lucky, will be coolaid or similar.

enjoy your burn, i'm not making it this year but will watch the burn and toast you all- maybe shed a tear or two!

Actually The Red One may be solo at your event. I have DMV FE inspections and I am doing a surprise pyro show on the Playa for someone that evening.

I'm bringing a bottle of burgundy wine to share. I'm only working in the cool mornings this year and will make it a point to drop by. This is my sixth year and I have not been by for the meet & greet due to the normal playa circumstances.
