I recall as a kid, having a real pride in our Red, White and Blue. Freedom, democracy, capitalism and the belief that we were the "right" way to show he rest of the world how citizens should be treated.

After dealing with 8 years of Bush, and the current state of the U.S. and its relations with the world, I feel that the red, white and blue colors are a bit faded and tattered.

I hope at some point, my feelings of overwhelming pride in our country returns.

Europe is moving right, the "progressive" movement is dying. Obama is exactly the wrong person at the wrong time in the wrong place.

We could not have elected a worse possible person for President and John McCain wouldn't have been all that much better but he would have been much less dangerous than the current idiot occupying the White House. I would take another 4 years of Bush over Obama any day.
