i resu-erected the Puch today, a fine Austrian machine that my eager friend aydin toasted by pouring enough octane booster in with his one gallon of gas as is normally recommended for 20 gallons.

he'll learn, even if it has to be the hard way...

and i think i'll feel better about the whole thing if i do it myself....i have the bones (old frames) i have the technology (greaser wisdom) to create the steve austin of mopeds, the bionic bike.

and if i have to, i'll go it alone, it won't be the first time, i should be fine either way, but you're right, a documentation is a must, and fellow travelers (marxists) would be fun, just because anyone who would take this adventure with me must be adventurous, and therefore an interesting addition to the journey.

no posers please, only passionate artists, and when i say ARTIST it means whatever it is you do, as long as you do it with all of your heart.

Had my windshield replaced not long ago... expecting a 300 - 400 bill. Cost 150 for an identical factory windshield installed and it took an hour. Nice thing about "Auto Glass Row" in downtown LA!

Here's to the passing of summer. Pulled my last apricot off the tree today, it was good. Next is my fig tree.

All the local fruit packing houses are going full bore. All that rejected fruit on the ground, such a waste. But that's the American consumer for you, no blemishes...

After the peaches comes the plums(prunes). Eat fresh fruit people, and help a farmer.

Did you know that much of the California prune production goes to Russia where they make vodka from it? A black russian, please. and make it stinky...throw a prune in it.

Nope fires are burning brightly, to the south over 1000 acres now.
fire over the hills by Susanville burning, not sure how many acres but the valley here is filled with smoke from them.
