maybe
Well, you're too young to help with our bar, but if can't find any fits, let me know. We can probably adopt you as our mascot. It's happened before.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: Need to join a camp
Need or want? No one needs to join a theme camp. It seems that everyone this year thinks they need to join one to attend or are too lazy to prepare. I'm running a theme camp and keep getting emails from these same types of people who think they need to join a camp. Many people ask about using our water and whether or not they need to bring bare essentials such as shade and food. Theme camps are NOT resorts. Anyone else experiencing this?McKeeverFever wrote:Hey any burners got space for me in there camp im a 20 year old student from Dublin. Actually yeah, what i think is weirdest is a "we don't need to bring water, do we?" kind of attitude. since when is it normal to turn up without water?DoriumLux wrote:Anyone else experiencing this?

WTF?
As a camp leader, we've also seen this too.
Some people asked us if they needed to bring their own sleeping bag?
WTF? When did theme camps become considered resorts?
Do they really think that a 100 or so dollars is what they would pay to stay at a resort?
I hope this is not the direction burning man is going.

HA!
Actually being part of a Theme camp, could cost you $100.00,+,+,+,,,, more then just Nomadic camping.
Our camp isnt cheap by any standards.
We dont provide food, we all pitch in foods to cook on a schedule.
(and playa time happens so your on your own if that chef gets lost)
We work our bloody asses off in 110 degree heat to build the infrastructure for two days(repeat at end of week, which seems harder cause we're all totally bushed).
We stock said bar with a couple thousand dollars worth of libations, all donated by camp mates.
We dont provide tents/sleeping bags/water/gas/power....etc...
Where is it that peeps believe this is done...I wanna go join that Theme Camp!
No really...you dont NEED to join a Theme camp.
and asking in August??? come on?!
