So -

There are lots of things the mods here get to do in all its glory. Dump ads for penis enlargments, refinance, organic food stores (although well written), libelous attacks, the wierdest requests and lots of others.

What we cant or wont do amongst others is:
1. Reset passwords - do it yourself!
2. Contact BMORG (they have contact info on the main page) Maybe the other mods have one, but I dont have any secret phone numbers
3. Post ads
4. Allow ads to be posted
5. Give out IP addresses - not illegal just tastes funny
6. ....

We also dont delete accounts - that is someone elses job. We can make recommendations - but anyone can do that as well. its fun to mod here, but theres limits to what we can do for you.

So please limit the requests to whats possible. I am out of free tickets for this year, the secret Harvey Hut tokens are all disseminated as well. Maybe if someone invited me to the GCBEC this year I can work something out though!!!

I get the feeling weird things are going on. And I'm missing them, but they leave these traces.

And it's seems to be a little unhealthy.

Mods can edit posts, but that is an extreme measure, simpler to dump a post which violates the TOS.

I will not correct your spelling.

I might lock a thread if the OP feels it is finished.

I will not pull posts in which you made a complete ass of yourself (unless the TOS gets involved). You can make amends on your own.

When I first started, I did take down a couple posts for on person, then realized that was a Very Bad precedent. Now if anyone gets into it, they fix it.

forgot that one M For newbies I will Re-enable html and bbc sometimes if it helps a thread make sense. I have fixed a few links that were cut off as well in posts. Never edited content though.

Invite! How about you organize it and you can even pick the judges. It appears that the host, Sunshine" won't be able to attend this year. In the past I have assisted with swag and security, but with the big show we are doing on Friday night, I won't have time to do much more than that. I have located a suitable venue, though.

Some notes for the uber-mod:
I CAN delete or lock accounts, but have only done it twice in however many years I've been around. Both case were pretty freakin extreme, so don't worry about this happening to you or ask me to do it to someone else. Just report the behavior and we'll figure out what to do.

I ruthlessly delete intentional or accidental duplicate posts. So far nobody has complained, so I'll keep doing it.

If I notice someone posting their personal email or phone number I'll send them a PM asking if they want it edited out - some people don't realize everything on here is permanent and becomes googlized.

I will not delete posts, delete an account, or report someone to the FBI for their posts because you're losing an argument with them. Yes, I have been asked to do these things. (You know who you are!)

I do not have any secret method for contacting the ORG other than for eplaya tech problems and have no influence with them. I did get a Christmas card from them this year, though!

Us mods do share information - if we delete or edit a post or do something else of note we let each other know. This is done to assure we're behaving consistently and not duplicating effort, not for some other nefarious purpose.

Sometimes a late edit is handy, though it doesn't come up often.
It's that damn 60 minute window.

Yesterday on another forum, I put up a post and left it up for a day and then edited one line of personal information out.
I intended it for the community, but not as a permanent record for the net.
Anyone I wanted to read it, had by that point.

Sometimes these things come up.
