Biscuits!!
Biscuits!!
Has anyone tried the pepperidge farm Mango Peach cookies?
Not bad.
There is an Always Save store brand out there and their Orange Pineapple version is great.
It was at superlo here and they brought in the walmart crapfest cookies, but now they're back.
You might find them at another store somewhere.
About $1.90 for a pound or so.
Never seen a fancier version of this cookie.
Just got in some dare canadian maple leaf cookies.
I plan to nibble on those when I'm poking fun at canadians.
There are some new versions of biscotti out there too.

I don't find many I like, so I try new stuff and try to get stuff when I find it.Boijoy wrote:wow gyre. do you have the munchies?
I'm a supertaster so most cookies are too sweet for me.
The maple creme are really sweet, go figure.
Probably really good with coffee.
A great cookie are those walker shortbread with tiny chocolate chips.
Thought they would be horrible.
Wonderful.
Never ever find them.
I'll try to bring some maple cookies with me, Antim.
I'm a double stuff man, no splits, I sink them in milk, or coffee.
Oh, I like vanilla wafers in banana pudding also.
My dad liked ginger snaps, but they're too spicy for my taste.
I ate some black bread in an Edinburg, Scotland hotel once, not guite a cookie but not cake either. Sweet and chewy, very filling but I guess I'm used to American style aired up loafs. I like reubens on rye, you know, with the cheeze and the kraut. But this thread is about biscuits...
Is it dinner time already?
Ooh, donuts, maple bars, chocolate bars. Cake sinkers with coffee...What? Oh yeah cookies.
Those hard english biscuits can break your teeth. Soak 'em in the tea like hardtack. I like those soft peanut butter cookies, macaroons, chocolate chip, etc...

I make "truck cookies" for MyLarry to carry on the road. A little more dense and dry than regular cookies, less sweet, they can be anything from chocolate chip to oatmeal... I tend to throw in whatever chips or fruit and nuts I have around.
Lofthouse cookies are made here in Ogden. They have an outlet shop on the premises, and some of their cookies are very yummy indeed. But not the frosted sugary things. Blech.

Ahhh yes yes... I am sure to be there... I am definitely down for fish on the playa. Love Salmon. This year will be my first year bringing out fresh fish for sushi. I am actually going to get some lessons in sushi while I'm out there by my chef friend who is a virgin burner from the east coast. I'm pretty excited to learn some new skills this year.
First year hauling fresh sushi grade fish out there... Should be interesting.

I've mentioned the chocolate chip walker shortbread.
Good as I remembered.
I still haven't seen the chocolate chip package, but target has the chocolate shortbread assortment.
Here's Walker's number if you want to bitch about not finding the chipped shortbreads - 800/521-0141
I've discovered the caraway cookies are a standard middle eastern cookie to this day.
Recipes are secret and highly prized.
Someone suggested asking for someone else's recipe.
That way they don't have to give away the secret, and it's a starting point recipe.
I'm still trying, but if anyone can get a recipe, let us know.
