we used to do this all the time when we went into the field with MRE's..usually up and marching at around 4 am..so it was a very nice treat at like 10am.
first timer contemplating it
you guys could always have military style coffee like i have many times...take an instant coffee packet and dump into mouth, add powdered milk packet and a sugar packet....take a swig from your canteen and swish in your mouth...swallow and enjoy a very fast caffeine high

The Greeters will give you all that information. You'll get a map, a sticker and a WWW.
Also since there were 130 theme camps that didn't receive placement, we are creating another Alt-WWW guide. I volunteer for the Black Rock Beacon newspaper and we print the paper on the playa. So we're going to wait until all the camps are placed on Monday and then print a guide to their events and activities too.
Watch for the Alt-WWW on Tuesday. Also pick up your daily newspaper for daily news. News boxes are in each plaza, at Center Camp and at the Man. Also we have circulation volunteers who drive by camps on their bikes and drop off newspapers to any willing recipients.

awesome, that is exactly what I needed to know. I don't expect to be there until late tues. so hopefully I can still pick up a guide. As it is, the nubmer of events is perhaps too much to fllter throough (a good thing). Thanks to all of you for answering all of my n00b questions and, hopefully i won't have anymore.
