Hello from Newcastle, UK!

Hello to everyone involved in BM 2009!

I'm Scott and together with my new wife Emma-lee and father in law, Rob (who's been to BM a few times now), we'll be joining everone in the desert for 7 days of wonderment and fun! WE CAN'T WAIT!!

My fathter in law, Rob Gribbin, has been with various camps in the past but due to circumstances beyond our control we are arriving alone this year.

It would be great to meet/join or travel with others in a camp so we can tackle the quite daunting prospect of BM with other like minded people!

We are 3 liberal (honestly?) people willing to do our bit in order to better the community that you have here. It's not a problem if we 'go it alone' but surely the whole point is to share experiences and not be alone?!

If anyone is willing for us to join them in a camp or even just meet up, we'll be over the moon! Please PM me if you think we can contribute to your camp.

I'm a bit of a trance head who produces music from a bedroom and enjoyed a honeymoon in Goa surrounded by psytrance. My wife enjoys mostly everything. While Rob was/is a big dead head but likes all sorts of music. I know BM is not a music festival but you get an idea of what we are about by our taste in music, yes?

Anyway. Regardless of response, we all look forward to seeing you all at Black Rock City for what promises to be a life changing week for us!

See you there!

Scott.

Ps See us in action at Glastonbury 2008 here -

Welcome to EPLAYA Scott.
Its a hard time to pop in and ask to join Theme camps. One Its very late in the game(most theme camps already have their new recruits by feb-may.

And with alot of theme camps not getting "known placement" they will be behind schedule and not even know where they will be camping yet.
Just GO! Go to burningman, dont worry about linking up with a theme camp.

By the time the end of the week rolls around, you will have met alot of people, you might even find the theme camp that feels good to you to ASK, if next yr they need more campers to join.

Remember one thing...Eplaya is NOT the Playa. People get snarky on here...its not their fault...its cause were all a bunch of kids sleeping in the back seat waiting for our trip to Disneyburn...and were not patient!~and its still 3 weeks away!~ and the back seat is uncomfy!~
Names pinemom, but my friends call me "Piney".

Thanks for the heads up. By the time I'd posted THEN read the forums I'd realised what it's all about.

Totaly looking forward to it anyway! I'm not bothered about going, meeting, experiencing it on the fly. My wife was a little anxious though.

See you all there!
