Hi!
I am Dave, and this will be my fourth year at BM.
I volunteered a couple of years, but this year will put my yurt in a random neighborhood or, better, camp with a group of people interested in the arts.
Any ideas of how I might hook up with such?
I plan to paint BM scenes this year.
Thanks!

Here's my plan for you:
! Drive to Playa
@ Visit Gate and Greeters
# Drive Around City
$ See Some Interesting Looking People
% Get Out of Car and Chat With Said People
(Here's where it gets fiendishly cleaver)
^ Ask Them Questions About Their Artistic Interests and Whether They Would Welcome Another Camper
& If Answers are Satisfactory, Set up Camp With Them
* If Not, Repeat Steps #-&.
(Now, I know that that came across as really snarky, which wasn't actually how I felt writing the post, although you might just have to take my word on it. But really, as I understand the process, this works.)

Register with Hushville, camp next to Anti M's Home for Wayward Art. Should be either inspirational or and example of What Not to Paint. I don't make much art on the playa, but I might bring an easel and paints this year.
Actually, Hushville is a nice place to camp, although this year we'll be cozy-crowded.
