Flying into BRC

My wife has to fly back East for a family emergency, and then will be joining me in BRC Tuesday night. She flies into Reno, and we are trying to figure out a way of getting her the rest of the way. I'm trying to find a BRC pilot willing to fly to Reno to pick her up. Any ideas/takers? Please write me at [email protected]

Advantage Flight Solutions out of Reno to BRC. $240 one way.

Be aware that if conditions aren't safe they may send her by road and it may take a while. Also, you bring as much of her gear as possible. You don't want to be adding any more weight to a plane at taht altitude, ect, than you have to.

Ouch! $240 is a bit more than we were hoping to spend, especially after having to pay for an expensive past minute flight back East. She's very cute and very friendly and hardly weighs anything - surely there's a pilot out there willing to be creative in finding a way to bring her in affordably??

$240 is a relative bargain. Most small planes cost the owner about $100/hour to run. The gas (~$5/gallon at ~9-15 gallons an hour) and maintenance add up quickly. The FAA does not allow private pilots to collect much more than an even share of gas money from passengers.

A hop to Reno and back to pick up someone would be a very large gift of time and money that far exceeds the "miracle ticket" long shots that other people seek here.
