Goth Gamer camp, Center camp - Needs people fast.
Our transportation took all the camp fees and ran... with his truck... and my crew. Bad timing for a dear John letter. Days before we are supposed to leave. We are a pretty serious goth, 80's, gamer camp and you can look up more info about us on Bman camp name: Arachnophobia. We are at center camp at 3:30 so we have the BEST space! Very exciting! We can take at least 10 people if not more... we need either: everyone to chip in for transportation... or... someone with a BIG truck who wants to transport us from Colorado.... Some of our awesome amenities are...
Ice cold gatorade throughout the day, shower, kitchen with sink and grill and a huge club space you can use to do something in if you want! We have all kinds of events you can DJ... or bar tend for. Lots of fun! We welcome first timers as long as you realize there is definitely work involved in getting those camps up!
Call me ASAP to work out the details or ask questions... let me know if you are an early entry worker (willing to help put up the camp a few days in advance) or not. Lets make this thing possible for everyone!

Huh?
Your truck driver who has a big truck and your whole crew split with all the camp funds leaving you all alone with prime placement and early access passes?
Makes me wonder why they would do that.
Might be a noble thing to let placement know your camp fell apart and let one of the 130 rejected theme camps have a go at that prime location.
It sure would suck if you got black listed.

False Accusations....
Just to clarify!
The decision not to join the gamer camp was made by all of us. We are here in Chicago and we agreed to raise ALL THE MONEY to transport the gamer camp to the playa because they had NO BUDGET FOR TRANSPORTATION. So we raised the money and assembled a crew. When we decided not to deal with the gamer camp because of complications involving bad planning, bad attitude and a PSYCHO Ex girlfriend, we gave the camp fees back to the potential members, here in chicago. I know this because these people are my friends!! And my friends were the "crew" that I "ran away with". Its called free will, if they don't want to build your dome for you and pay for your camp to get to the playa then that is their choice!!
So the money was returned and I even helped Spider from the gamer camp to contact these potential camp members. And now she accuses me of "running with her crew"????

Dear Spider,
Thanks so much for thinking of me, but I've made previous plans that don't leave room for camping with you, despite the killer location and the massive amounts of free drama that your camp seems likely to provide. Please accept my regrets, and good luck with All That.
Very Truly Yours,
Swampdog
p.s. You might do well to consider Token's advice. Your karma account may be running low and need a boost.

High school nonsense
Hmm... Funny... I wonder how the people camping with you are going to feel when they find out what kind of person you really are. I pity anyone else you choose to get involved with. Damian is a destructive soul and he is relentless in his pursuit of blame, trash talk and sadism. But if you believe his talk? Its buyer beware.

I hope you have a little more understanding now for the money, work and logistics that go into running a big camp. When you showed up randomly and camped with us at Spike's (with your camp fees gifted) and caused massive amounts of drama I tried to explain to you some of the "bigger picture" that is involved with a large camp.
When you were extremely upset that we were going to MOVE your DJ shift due to a Thunderdome takeover, I explained to you that each of us had put in hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into the camp. Your response was "I can't hear that anymore". In the end you got your way with too much drama to deal with and the whole camp suffered from not getting to play a fun game we were all looking forward to.
I honestly like you as a person and have heard awesome things about your camp. This post is meant in a bit of the tough love vein. For any camp to thrive and succeed, people and and the creation of a loving family based on respect and goodwill are of the utmost importance. Build you community from this and you will never want for funds or hands to build.
With respect and hope for the success of your camp.

I would avoid this camp
This camp has had two separate groups of people quit last year. One of reasons being her husband kicked a member in the face among other things.
I could go on forever on all the bridges this camp has burned but I think i made my point.

Sadly, I'm not sure. The disjointed and repetitious prose could be a result of upset or of awkwardness in a lie.
Perhaps we should brainstorm on what to do if you are camping with a psycho and you are unable to negotiate some sort of peaceful detante. Does one go to the rangers? pack up and escape? I will say this: what a dreadful burn it could be if this is true. If someone kicks you on playa, feel free to press assault charges. We don't have to put up with that.
