First Timer Looking For New Friends to Camp With

Hi, I'm headed out for my first BM solo and would love to have some new friends to camp with. Would be happy to chip in for any expenses and help with chores around camp.

I'm getting into Reno on Monday the 31st, and might drive out myself and make friends on the playa, but it would be great to have cool people to meet beforehand.

And I'm an ameatur photographer, so I can hopefully contribute some cool pictures of your burn (assuming you want pictures that it is).

If you don't hear from anyone here on the boards in response to your search, you'll be fine coming in alone and then finding folks once you get there. You'll be amazed how easy it is to meet people on the playa.

And if you haven't done so already, you should come out to one of the Burner Happy hours here in NY. Folks meet up in Manhattan on Wednesdays and Williamsburg on some other day of the week (can't remember now which one it is).

I too am a bm virgin, traveling solo to sacremento on tues. and driving in. I am getting anxious now and only have to weeks to go. I think going alone my first time will just make it extra fun for me.

I went by myself my Virgin Year And IT was the BEST TIME EVER!!

went with a small tent and a cheap shade (that I used just the tarp and 2 half poles made a taco type thing - worked excellent)
Remember rebar Your warm clothes & chap stick... *and read the guide*

turn left instead of right and camp on the 10:00 side....
