WE GOT A DOG!

We (Mom and us kids) got home from vacation really late last night and all went straight to bed. This morning when we woke up Dad brought out OUR NEW DOG!!!!!! I still can't believe it. Dad got him a while ago. Mom told us this morning that Dad didn't go on vacation with us so he could pick up the dog and work with him before we got back. He's really sweet.
This was what our house looked like this morning ->
Mom gave us some suggestions for names for him. We picked "Fen." It's short for "Fenrir" who was a giant wolf in Norse mythology. That was a better name than anything else that we came up with. C wanted to name him Oliver but she got out voted by the rest of us kids. She liked the name we picked but said she just wanted to be different. There is another version of his name, "Fenrisulfr" but it's a little too hard for S to pronounce so we went with Fenrir instead.
He came from a rescue and he's so cute. We went out for a long walk this morning and he just follows Dad around. We didn't even use a leash. If Dad starts running, Fen starts running. If Dad turns right, Fen turns right. If Dad stops, Fen stops. Dad has taught him to come, sit, stand up on his back feet, heel, and pee (yep, Dad can make him pee whenever he tells him to ). It's really cute but he won't follow or listen to anyone else at all. Dad says that will just take a little time and some work.
I entered him in a cutest dog competition this morning that Dad said he learned about here. I hope that's OK. I don't want to step on anyone's toes here. If it is OK I'll put his link in this thread so he can get some votes. If it's not OK then I will erase this paragraph. Just let me know which one I should do.

I think Fen is the cutest dog I've ever seen but he doesn't have a lot of votes yet. It would be really great if he won. I think instead of buying a new car for Dad I would help him pay for his new office.
I think Mom is taking over the Alpha dog job from Dad. Dad told me that she wouldn't be called the Alpha dog but wouldn't tell me what she would be called. He just smiled at Mom and she gave him the you're in trouble look.
