Sputnik and Goathead;
This is one of the beers I was thinking of bringing to the playa so you'll have to fight over it there!
The border guys will only let me bring either one case of 24 beers or one 1.4 litre bottle of liquor legally. And I need to bring tequila for Caleb's memorial and whiskey for me to drink so I'm trying to figure out my rations or new hiding places. Or buy some of it in the US.
Details, details.
No more talk of whether or else we'll get an early winter again and I'm just barely over the last one.
cheers

We are gong to miss you too, TITWI. And Sputnik… All of you. It’ll be sort of forlorn without playa dust in my face, I think. We’re talking about having Yearning Man on our porch. Heh heh. I do believe that 2010 will be special, however. Karine and I decided that it's not that we're missing a year so much as we're stretching a year out in order to get all the things that need attention done.
Hi Deb! It's good to see you here. I find it comforting to see a familiar face here in a place that I used to be in most every evening. A form a stability in a world in need, I‘d say. Thank you for that.
Xingu is surprisingly light for such a black beer. It has an almost wine-like aftertaste. Very pleasing. Thanks, Sputnik!

Just pull out some playa gear for your Yearning and blow it in each other's face - it'll feel like you're at home with us.LeChatNoir wrote:We are gong to miss you too, TITWI. And Sputnik… All of you. Love your attitude about stretching a year out. Very good way to view the situation. Sometimes we have to pay attention to that which needs to be done.
Have you been told yet today what a sweet cat you are!Hi Deb! It's good to see you here. I find it comforting to see a familiar face here in a place that I used to be in most every evening. A form a stability in a world in need, I‘d say. Thank you for that.

I'm always willing to try a new beer even the darker ones and will seek this one out. Experience tells me I need to have a friend nearby to pass the dark ones off to after a wee taste.

woo-hoo
Everyone's back in this bar. Is it faster for the dial-up folks now?
Oh, you meant something else.
*runs outside bar, loud sounds of ducks heard in distance*

You're supposed to say "goose" at some point. It's no fun if it's all "duck, duck, duck, duck, duck"....ygmir wrote:I counted five ducks, that time Mule...............

Sorry to hear about your back injury. That sounds painful besides the heartbreak of missing the Burn.
I'm going to empathize with ygmir tonight and just have non-alcoholic. I've got a sinus infection which feels like my eyes are being forced out of their sockets. Gotta get that cleared up so the playa will be enjoyable.
How's about a Sasparilla?
