are you talking in general, or at the event?

then who have you contacted and spoken with? i am really curious what sources you're basing that on, since the people directly involved are usually advised by thier legal council not to speak about it. so i have my doubts because i did a couple of high-level passes myself.

I'd be curious to know what a parbolic mic could really pick up on the playa, with its legendary noise. Are they affected by ambient noise? As for night vision... image intensifiers. While they have surely improved since I peered through them for Uncle Sam, the flashes and bright lights that dot the playa I would think make these difficult. Likewise if you are near any kind of fire art, would even modern thermal sights work? Inquiring minds want to know! Has anyone looked through modern night vision stuff on the playa?

Ifg you don't think that they have computer programs to clean that up--I'm sure they can get stuff off new york city streets for instance.

P, G, & E could tell you, but then they'd have to kill you.

Well, yes and no. I work in sound and have doen some restoration of audio, it aint' all that easy. With the thump thump going on it would be tough. New york traffic noise is constant and steady. Teh noise at BM is unsteady and multi freq. It would much harder to filter out.

Just be smart.
