If you get a flat on the way out I will be the one flipping you off on the way by and that is a promise! This was not a oppertunity to hack on people. Just a way for people to express why they come to BM. I bet you could not get laid in a womens prison with a fist full of pardons!!! I can appricate good banter and like it , I'm not invloved with Promise Keepers but beeing a good dude is not a crime! People like you have more nerve than a bad tooth.

Trenton, what did you do to get these folks worked up? Did you post something Christian in other places? Or was it simply the use of the word 'blessed'?

Some time after dark in 2005.
After offering up my welder to the guys trying to fix La Contessa I was kidnapped by the crew of the Freudian Ship. They forcefully took me to my camp in a borrowed DPW rig and watched over me as I welded up their broken steering component. I then went with them and after helping install it I rode around with them for hours. They repaid me with a fantastic Bloody Mary and I usually don't like that drink.
It was a great night on the playa.

Wow, Trenton.... too bad you got such scathing comments. Forced me out of my hover mode on eplaya. Positive story is that I've been lucky to meet people like Motsky, ones who give their time and talents on playa.....genuine hugs from genuine burners are the best!

Last year, a group of young folks next to my camp put up a dome. About midweek I asked this pretty blonde girl if they made the dome themselves. She said that they had.

I told her, " That's very burny ". Something must have clicked in her head, you could see her eyes open wide. She started jumping up and yelling. " I'm a burner, I'm a burner! ". She started jumping over to her girlfriend, " we're burners, we're burners!" It made my day.

One year I was BLESSED to see the shower and mudpit. And a lovely young lady BLESSED me with her presence. I felt really BLESSED to caress her roundness.

I'm a bit troubled that the OPs seem to turn a blind eye to the intolerant vitriole spewed forth by Adam Link and Liz Estrada.

Isn't BM supposed to be inclusive?

I actually went to the trouble of reading all of Trenton's posts suspecting that he might have used christianity as a reason for bashing someone here - nope. Found nothing.

Other than being defensive I saw nothing rude or inapropriate posted by Trenton.

In short, nothing to justify the Hilter Youth intolerant reaction he received from Adam Link and Liz Estrada.

I imagine that if someone had posted the exact words used by Adam and Liz but directed at a gay person, that they would have been tossed from ePlaya within seconds.

Hmmmmm

Either there is more to this story or the OPS should be ashamed of themselves.

Anybody care to explain?

Adam and Liz are such nuts.......

I think, bi-polar........

I've seen them dressed as Liberace and Charro playing in the piano bar at center camp, or was that Root Society?

Some of the kids here on e-playa enjoy a good spewing tantrum now and then.
This is one of the few places where it's allowed.
It's actually kind of amusing if you're in the right mood.
Don't take it personally.

My memory is bad. I've had HUNDREDS of positive BM experiences, but since I can't remember them, I guess I'll just have to go again this year. Poor me.

One time at burningman it was only 101F during the day and 33 during the night, the dust storm settled enough so you could see across the street, the hippies didn't smell as bad, the ravers turned down their amps to 11, the asshole with the airhorn waited until 4am to come by and wake us up, the wind only destroyed 80% of our camp, the drunk guy passed out in our camp said he was sorry for puking over everything before he left.

That WAS a great day. Thanks for reminding me to reminisce.

;)

There are so many great memories. My favorite time of the event is the first few days or even the days before. Those are the people building the city and putting most of it together. It's before all the partiers arrive. It's great to be able to climb a random structure and run into three other engineers at the top. They speak my language and it's fun to talk with them about the things we've seen, built, or are building and swap ideas. I not only like to enjoy the art but I love when the guy who built it is right there and I get to talk about the nerdy technical issues that went into making it happen.

ha ha roberto.... that's pretty funny...

Anybody who takes the bible too seriously, including devil worship types and science-god atheist types tend to be the wrong kind of religious.

The bible, like Dr. Seuss, letters to Penthouse and No Parking signs should only be taken semi-literally...
