this is my first year at Burning Man. I need to join a group that has already experience in this event. Please let me in. I have my ticket already. Nothing else on plan. I am in Los Angeles.

Dear, you don't need to be adopted. Do the research, get your kit together. YOU are going camping. If you don't know how to do it, what will happen if you get separated from your desired benefactors? Many of us plan all year, and make things, and study options, and save money. The organization required for self-reliance and whatever comforts I might devise, are a big part of the event for me. If you need a ride, that's one thing, but asking for everything else is not in the spirit of the event. my 2 cents. I hope you make it, and gain a sense of yourself as somebody who can do what needs to be done.
