How many tickets sold this year?

Post by Homiesinheaven » Tue Aug 18, 2009 2:44 pm

quite a few of my friends are not going this year because of the economy and all (blah blah blah). with the size of BRC being scaled back i'm wondering how many people they expect this year? 30,000? 20,000?

does anyone know how many tickets have been sold?

Well....the tickets page shows that 4th level is sold out. Considering that 9,000 tickets are sold per level that is 36,000 tickets. However, I have also heard figures of upwards of 8,000 that do not appear on that page, so maybe we have 44,000 sold to date. Just a guess.
It's going to be alright.

Didn't they start selling tickets at the gate again? That should add quite a few more.

Yes and maybe.

Bottom line is that it's over 40K, might be as many as last year.

gate tickets

Post by joemomma » Thu Aug 20, 2009 1:52 pm

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't gate ticket sales encourage the tourists? I've only got 2 burns under my belt but I've noticed a distinct change in the atmosphere @ friday on....
One camp I was at on Fri was sold/ran out/hid their booze...the yahoos come in...jump behind the bar and are like...where's the booze!....
probably just me but I like the first 3-4 days best....

It's a bigggg city.. And what makes a tourist? I gotta tell ya the whole thing has changed over the years. You can hear a pin drop at night because of all the sound rules.

Even tourists have blood flowing in their veins. Ok, I have a suggestion for a test. Find the person who most seems like a toursit to you, go up to them and say hello, ask them about their time at BRC. Ask them why they are there. I already know what you will find, post back and tell us.

and remember there is a GOOD reason why this is 1st.

Tourists today are the citizens of tomorrow. It's your job to stamp their passports and welcome them in. Don't slack on your job!
